Nick Saban (ex-HC Alabama Crimson Tide)

What I also noticed after rewatching the Sugar Bowl, is that if Cardale had been just a little more accurate, this game would've been a blowout. He overthrew Devin on a few throws where Devin clearly had his man beat by a wide margin, and had Corey Smith fought a little harder or the ball was placed a little more outside, we have another late 4th quarter TD. Splitting hairs, and I'm no doubt elated over what Cardale has done the last 2gms. But just imagine the accuracy of a healthy JT in this game, and we run away with this one. And that just comes with game reps
Enjoyed listening to cowherd on Friday. I recommend downloading the podcast. Really funny mocking of Bama fan. Says urban is a better coach than Saban. Also said that if we had a healthy jt it wouldn't have been pretty for Bama would have been a several TD win. Says he loved the first down pass when everyone was expecting to burn the clock. It was urban telling Saban that we aren't going to crawl into a hole and hope for time to run out. It was urban saying we are better than you and we know it.

Also the opposite of mike and mike who spent their show making up excuses for the sec saying the players sometimes have their mind in the gutter. The bowl games also aren't a good way to judge conferences. Whereas I thought bowl wins were how the sec ascended their throne. Cowherd just said the sec was embarassed and exposed.

Listening to Paul Finebaums Friday show, and my oh my the butthurt is at epic proportions down south. From Phyllis to Crazy Tammy, the Bama rednecks are out in full force, and have turned on good old Paul, for having the nerve to congratulate the Buckeyes :slappy:
I've never seen a fan base be such poor losers as a whole. Its usually a select idiotic few, and every fan base has those few, but it seems like almost every Bama is reacting the same way. Its almost like a comedy routine

Paul Finebaum's show is essentially Jerry Springer's show, except the freaks are only allowed to telephone in.

Bama fans are not particularly different from Buckeye fans, except they live in better winter climate.

I never watched Springer and only caught a little of the preESPN Finebaum but I assume that Finebaum has colorful serial characters (callers) who become more of a caricature of themselves with each call.

Pretty much agree on both (is agreeing with Max a double negative or something?)

I never have nor ever will listen to stuff like that but this game made me listen to a solid 30 seconds of it here and there. Funny but my god, anyone who actually listens to that stuff...you are killing brain cells.

Free GatorUbet! aside, UF fans are the trash of the SEC, Bama fans are ok. They have a lunatic fringe like everyone else but all in all this is one of the few games I can recall being proud of playing such a worthy opponent, not just on the field.

People hate Saban (I do not) for the same reason people hate Urban. He wins.

I respect the little bastard but obviously want Urban to beat him in every recruiting battle and every game they should ever play.

When I came to SC, I worked with a Bammer...great guy, awesome wife, hilarious. Anyway, not sure if it is still legal, but he told me Bama had drive-thru beer stops...Ohio has drive-thrus where you buy a case or whatever but this was pull up with your empty gallon jugs and drive off with draft beer.

...now reconsider the Finebaum show callers

It may have something to do with having your entire identity inextricably intertwined with what a bunch of 19-year-olds kids you've never met do in situations over which you have zero control. I, too, lowered myself to listening to a bit of Finebaum on Friday. I was never so glad and grateful that I've learned in my dotage to disinvest myself in sports outcomes. When tOSU lost those two games at the end of the season last year, I wasn't happy about it. But, by God, I was over it by the time my head hit the pillow. Not surprisingly, the sun rose right on schedule the next morning. This in no way diminishes my ability to be wholly ecstatic over the team's success in these last two trophy games. If anything, I'm freer to enjoy them because I don't have the threat of a murder/suicide-inducing depression if they don't succeed. Where (especially) those two crazy bitches who are regular callers on Finebaum's show are concerned, I'm not so sure that isn't a possibility.

The question is: Are they simply attention whores or psychotic attention whores?

It's a really small sample with which to diagnose, but those two broads scare the hell out of me.

I'm SO glad they live halfway across the country. Imagine if they were your next-door neighbors?
