Nick Saban (ex-HC Alabama Crimson Tide)

How many national championships has this guy won? I think anyone who criticizes his game decisions should be institutionalized.

Please. He was an idiot to not attempt a 30-or-31-yard FG to go up by 10 points with about 5:34 left in the game, on 4th-and-one from the 13, right after they were just stopped on third-and-1.

My stating that opinion shouldn't qualify me for a rubber room. No matter how many titles Saban has won, it doesn't make him immune to people pointing out his poor judgments.

^This

He's been watching Lester get away with it too often to realize that other than one year, lester has lost 2 or more games in every regular season.

Never take points off the board.

actually twice.
2005 went 11-1 in regular season.
2011 went 12-0 in regular season.

by the way, Saban has gone undefeated ONCE in his entire career.

and while we're at it, Jordan freaking Jefferson has the same number of SEC titles as AJ McCarron.

Bingo. I'm sure that even Einstein made a couple boneheaded decisiions in his life. Saban's accomplishments at Alabama are above any sort of criticism...however, his stupid decisions yesterday aren't.

I'm still stunned by that decision. So much can go bad on a long FG attempt, and at 57 yards, the chances of making it are slim-to-none. At least with a hail mary, you can hope a ball bounces and one of your guys come up with it. Worst case, you bat it to the ground. With a FG, you run the risk of a block, or of course, a return for a TD. Just a boneheaded decision any way you slice it. And it essentially killed any hope of a historic 4th title in 5 years. I'd love to hear his rationale behind that call...
