A&M win, Auburn loss to USC, MSU win
and we're playing for #16. I'm not going to be crying over this one if we're playing for Natl. Championship. I don't think it's crazy. Anyone who watched the Michigan-Ohio st. game knows this scenario could easily happen. We just have to have Mizzou lose tonight. Lose on the last play to your rival is a "better" loss than what any other 1 loss team would have.

Nicktator better watch out...

"I've done my radio show a lot of Mondays after big losses for Alabama," said Finebaum, who moved to ESPN in the summer. "I think the South Carolina game a couple of years ago people were beside themselves. I'll never forget the (Texas) A&M game last year. Even the Governor came out and criticized coach (Nick) Saban, but I think this would be the all-timer.

"Alabama fans aren't really thinking about losing this game. They don't ever think about losing a game. I think they're probably a little more concerned about Missouri the next week, or maybe Florida State. This is not part of their DNA or their lexicon to think that we're going to lose to Auburn. I think it would be one of the most manic Mondays in Alabama history."

Oh, hell yeah. They'll be all over Nick for this gem of reality:

The video replay appeared to show the Alabama players watching the kick. The textbook says that the kicking team shouldn't watch the ball. The players should take their lanes and cover. Alabama practices the play during Friday walk-throughs. No one from the scout team poses as the returner. The kicking team just races downfield.

"We just imagine. Nobody actually returns it," Alabama tight end Brian Vogler said. "... You practice it so many times, and when it happens, you're not expecting that kind of speed."

They just imagine?!? You mean a Nick Saban Prince-Of-Darkness coached football team isn't prepared?!?

Saban is (I think) the highest paid coach. But he made two horrible mistakes. If he had not have gone for it on fourth down and kicked the field goal, he would have won. If he had not kicked the field goal, he would have gone into overtime.

Now, his nemesis will waltz into the national title game and win an easy victory again a team whose QB has been indicted. (I have absolutely no idea if that QB is guilty, but as I read the politics, it is impossible for the QB not NOT be arrested, so the jury can decide.)

When Saban's nemesis hosts the crystal trophy, people will howl themselves into oblivion, but hey, it was there for Saban's taking, but he messed up. He was wrong and he will pay the price. Remember, his nemesis hired a corner coach who was right about what would happen on the only play that really mattered in his nemesis' season.
