Alabama coach Nick Saban was involved a minor car accident Friday afternoon in the Birmingham area, sources told AL.com.
A UA spokesman said there were no injuries involved in the wreck.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office had no record of the accident, indicating that neither Saban nor the other driver filed a report.
The accident happened hours before the second round of the NFL draft was set to begin in Las Vegas, where multiple Alabama players are expected to be chosen Friday night. Two Alabama players, Evan Neal and Jameson Williams, were picked in Thursday night’s first round.
Saban was presumably in the Birmingham area for his son Nicholas’ wedding this weekend.
Alabama wrapped up its spring practice schedule April 16 and will begin fall practice in August.
