I think the thing that separates Saban’s teams from the rest, aside from talent, is the very mantra that Meyer preaches, 4-6 seconds A to B, but Saban holds his assistants and players to execute it.

Watch Bama receivers fight for extra yards, look at the broken tackles, the pursuit, it’s 100% effort (mostly) and playing for every down. Meyer can preach about effort, preach about 4-6 seconds, preach about checkers, preach about no redshirting and depth charts up for grabs. Until he actually requires it, there’s going to be a gap between expectation and reality.

Where’s the outrage over Nick bringing on DJ Durkin as a consultant? Where’s McPuffinStuff to bring the FAX and EVIDENTS? Where’s the moral indignation from Social Media? Where’s the raking of Saban over the coals, the dragging through the mud?

Where I ask where?????

I should add burning at the stake, calls for his head....where’s the investigation????

Oh that’s right Alabama only cares about winning football games....

It's right there with all of the national media members who are criticizing Saban (auto-correct changes that to Satan, so sometimes it's valid), over his playing Tua for 3/4ths of the Georgia game with an injured ankle and a knee that's been balky for the past month. Obviously if he had put Tua on the sidelines due to concerns about his health, Jalen Hurts would never have been able to handle the Gawja defense.

Kiffin, Sarkisian, Durkin...on a roll with hires of character issues. Media won't bite though.

I don't buy that.
If Urban wasn't winning, McMurphy doesn't give 2 shits about it.
I may take that a step forward and say that Durkin never got national attention because Maryland wasn't good... and therefore, Saban "not hiring" him (I'm sure he provides consultant services pro bono when SEC comes calling) is also not news.
Along with the teflon nature that sociopaths enjoy in the South.
