Dantonio is a better coach than Nick. Nick is the product of his very good coaching and insane recruiting. But his loses to Ohio St and Clemson and Auburn in big games are sketchy. In my opinion he is not as good as you think. Dabo and Dantonio are the best coaches in America.
Both have ballsy coaching and tricky to prepare to face. Saban is always conservative play-calling given the talent he has.

No no look at Dantonio and Saban both coached at Michigan St. The answer is obvious , you just ignore it. Dantonio did much more at Msu than Saban could dream. He won the rose bowl and made a college playoff with subpar talent. Michigan State is equivalent to Washington State. It is all coaching.

Nah it is because Dantonio is good, and he was our defensive coordinator against the Miami Canes upset in 2002. I believe he is super smart defensive mind that doesn't get his due. Saban is also a good defensive mind. The difference is Dantonio will take changes with fake fields goals and punts, Saban is too conservative. Dantonio would win on any level.

Who would you take if Dantonio had equal talent as Ohio St across the roster. Dantonio would obliterate Meyer every year. Dantonio has never had a higher recruiting class than top 20, let alone top 2.

Dantonio has 11 seasons to Saban’s five. Also, Saban was at MSU when he was just cutting his teeth as a HC...chances are he’s learned a thing or two since then, as his five rings would seem to attest to.
I think Dantonio is a terrific coach, probably second best in the B1G and arguably top ten in the country...but to say he’s better than Saban is a terrific stretch on his best day and Saban’s worst.
