NFL Rumors (Trades/Free Agents)

Ok by me...as long as the Browns got one of the guards (Steinbach), I'm happy.

No way the Browns would have gotten them both anyway. That would have been 100 million dollars spent on the Guard position. Even the Browns front office isn't dump enough to drop that kind of cash on two guards.

Plummer not retiring and will go to Tampa.

Gruden not as stupid as this looks. He will certainly not keep him and get better than a 5th round pick in return.

Not a bad gamble.

I'm not sure Gruden won't get rid of him... the guy really loves him some QBs. The real question is if he keeps both Gradkowski and Simms this year? If not, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Brownies jump on them.

Cowboys to add Davis to offensive line

The Dallas Cowboys are finalizing an agreement with free agent offensive lineman Leonard Davis, the second pick in the 2001 NFL draft who has played the last six seasons for the Arizona Cardinals, a source with knowledge of the negotiations told ESPN.com.
Davis, 6-feet-6, 366 pounds, is expected to play either right tackle or right guard for the Cowboys, depending on the resolution of contract talks with current Cowboys right tackle Marc Columbo, an unrestricted free agent the Cowboys hope to re-sign.

NFL Network is reporting that the Texans have come to an agreement with Ahman Green. I'd say that will negate the Texans interest in trading up with the Browns for AP.

this is quite interesting. green signed for four years at $23 million, $6.5 of that guaranteed.

the houston texans franchise is shaping up to what could be a very potent and powerful team next season. look for them in the playoffs.
