Patriots sign Adalius Thomas

Patriots land their man: Snag prized LB Thomas

Making one of the boldest free agent strikes in franchise history, the Patriots [team stats] last night agreed in principle to a contract with former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Adalius Thomas.


Terms were not immediately available, but the deal is expected to include between $15 million and $20 million of guaranteed money, according to sources with knowledge of the negotiations.

Thomas will help the Pats so much. He is an outstanding linebacker helping and learning from the Great Ray Lewis last year. With the LBs on the Pats aging, the Pats now add a franchise player who is young and will help the Pats on Defense. Great sign by the pats.

Ok by me...as long as the Browns got one of the guards (Steinbach), I'm happy.

Now, they are either going to have a LOT to spend on draft picks, they're looking at a couple more under the radar guys or they're going to have an anus-load of cash to spend next year. Which will it be?

Probably a little bit of all the above... depending on who we draft, I could see them going after a guy like Green, or some other RB.
