NFL Rumors (Trades/Free Agents)

I hate him too, but he is a still a decent player that had seven sacks last season. For the right price he could give Cleveland something on the other side of Wimbley. I do not think it will happen considering he played for the Steelers, his interactions with Winslow and so on but just a thought.

I think he can still contribute as well. I am betting he ends up somewhere like SF, a team with a ton of cap room. I don't think Cleveland will be an option, simply because of the reasons you stated.

I think SF is going to shell out big for Adalius Thomas... Porter's attitude will be a reservation for some teams...

If the Browns are going to unload on a FA (especially a LB'er), it will be on Thomas. IMO, we have bigger needs than LB, so let's drop the big dollars on Nate and Steinbach and call it a FA day. Not opposed to going after a couple of other needs guys, but as far as premier FAs (which there aren't many this year), those two are the only two I think we land or really chase after. With Steinbach, I think getting Dielman becomes a stretch/lesser need.

Bly's ancient.

Is this deja vu or is this a common assessment from you

Dre Bly is only 29. That is not ancient. He is still a good cover back and considering the the Broncos DB that they had last year opposite Champ is deceased (Darrent Williams), it is certainly and upgrade.

I dunno. As a Bengals fan, I'd take a corpse over Tory James.
