Curious how many retired players come out with stories like this one. Derek Wolfe talks about getting paralyzed for a few hours due to a bruise on his spinal cord and how he played two weeks later. Said his arms went numb every time someone touched him, and that he had a near death experience due to a seizure from that injury.
Talks about the team doctors overriding hospital doctors.
The reactions to the Lamar Jackson saga are cracking me up because they make no sense to me.
"The Browns gave up more and paid more for Watson, and the Broncos did for Wilson, too." Yeah, and both of those look like questionable decisions. Yet I see talking heads using those examples as reasons FOR doing the same with Jackson. They're reasons for NOT doing it.
Jackson's last two seasons: 63% completions, 33 TDs, 20 INTs, and 9 games missed. What part of that says $200 million and two first round picks? "Yeah, but he was MVP in 2019!" He won a media vote 4 years ago, which is the same amount of playoff games he's won.
I'm not surprised the market for Jackson is minimal, especially if the stories of what he's demanding are true.
