NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

Seems I remember Tomczak throwing 6 picks in a game for the Bears…

Fields looks bad. It's ok to admit it. He's my favorite Buckeye of the last decade.

Part of that is on the Bears complete unwillingness to address the offense, but part of it is on him. He does some weird stuff. He threw a ball well over the LOS and cost his team a possession. Stuff like that. Can't do it. He's holding on to the ball way too long.

I agree that the curse is the Bears. Hard to judge him until he's on a competent offense. But, he has not looked very good all that being said.

I’ve seen some signs of good things and certainly some struggles. If you look at a guy like Jalen Hurts and what he did last night, you have to think Fields could thrive in an O designed around his athleticism and arm. SF was the place, but unfortunately that didn’t happen.

The play where he was over the line of scrimmage was bad, but so was the call by the OC on 4th and goal. I think he’s pressing to make stuff happen. It’s a bad match with Chicago.

Fields landing in CHI was a worst case scenario...okay, NYJ, WAS and/or JAX, too. Their offense has been a blackhole outside of the odd year here-and-there for as far back as I can remember. Their history of wrecking QBs is well documented. I just glanced at their roster and I don't recognize a single WR or TE...they're garbage. I think Montgomery is an okay RB, but Fields has nobody to throw to downfield. Nobody. Could he do some things better? Certainly. But CHI has done everything imaginable to set him up for failure.

One can only hope they address the lack of playmakers around him aggressively this coming offseason or that he can somehow land in a better spot if/when they eventually cut him loose. Unfortunately, the list of high draft pick QBs who have revived their careers on another team after bombing on the team that drafted them is very, very short.

Well, bottom line is if Cleveland cant beat this Steelers team at home tonight, they don't deserve to ever beat Pittsburgh again and should request to be moved to the AFC South from now on. Don't be a fucking disgrace Browns!

Outstanding hands by Ward on that downfield play.

If somehow Brisset has a labotomy and throws the ball downfield, the Browns should reap the benefits otherwise might as well run with Chubb and QB keepers with Brissets big ass.
