NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

100% absolute bullshit serve by the referees in Brady's favor against the Saints.

"Don't forget two very questionable calls against the Saints to keep that drive alive." Brady was running his mouth to Marshawn and a brawl broke out. Disgusting shit

Mike Evans ran over to cheap shot Marshon Lattimore for the second time since 2017 because Marshon lives rent free in Evans’ head.

Buccaneers-Saints brawl sparked by Tom Brady, Marshon Lattimore; multiple players ejected

The Ohio State-Michigan rivalry extended into the NFL on Sunday. During an NFC South game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints, Ohio State alum Marshon Lattimore and Michigan alum Tom Brady appeared to start what turned into a significant brawl that resulted in ejections for Lattimore and Tampa Bay wide receiver Mike Evans in the third quarter.

Brady did not participate in the fight, but the skirmish appeared to stem from comments directed from Brady to an official and Lattimore after a non-call on what the Bucs felt was defensive pass interference. As Brady and Lattimore shared words, Tampa Bay running back Leonard Fournette ventured over and exchanged pushes with Lattimore. Evans then flew in, hit Lattimore and launched the fight.

Embedded below is video of the fight and the argument that led up to it.

Bucs’ Mike Evans Explains What Triggered Brawl vs. Saints

Before the Buccaneers came out with the big win Sunday, it was an ugly affair against the Saints. A brawl resulted in the ejection of Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans and Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore.

After a Saints stop, Lattimore can be seen chirping at the Buccaneers sideline and Tom Brady took issue with what he was saying. Brady got in Lattimore’s face and so did Leonard Fournette. The running back shoved Lattimore and Lattimore retaliated, leading Evans to come out of nowhere to hit the cornerback. After the game, Evans explained what he saw and why he did what he did.

“It gets spicy when you come to New Orleans,” Evans said.

In addition, Lattimore & Evans have a history of not getting along very well:

What's more frustrating: being a Clowns fan or Raiders fan?

OK, you asked. You have to look at it long range, i.e. the big picture, not just a few recent games/seasons. I say being a Clowns fan is more frustrating. At least the Raiders have been to 5 Super Bowls winning 3:

Raiders have a rich Super Bowl history

While it’s been a while since the Raiders were consistent winners — the club last had back-to-back winning seasons in 2001 and 2002 — the team does have a rich and successful history. The Raiders have been to five Super Bowls, coming away victorious in three of them.

The Raiders won two of their Super Bowls in Oakland, with their most recent victory — in the 1983 season — coming with the team based in Los Angeles.

Super Bowl II: Packers 33, Raiders 14

Super Bowl XI: Raiders 32, Vikings 14

Super Bowl XV: Raiders 27, Eagles 10

Super Bowl XVIII: Raiders 38, Redskins 9

Super Bowl XXXVII: Buccaneers 48, Raiders 21

I'd tend to agree. But going back the past two decades, they are both just awful franchises. However, you could look at it from the angle of some Raiders fans tasted that success back when they were actually a premier franchise and now have dealt with two decades of shit. Clowns fans under the age of 70 know almost nothing but failure.

Add to the fact that there is nothing more frustrating than just not having a team; which happened to the Browns fans for 3 years. Yeah, the Raiders franchise has moved 3 times; but there has always been a Raiders team. Raider fans have become Raider fans regardless of the city; Brown fans are Cleveland Brown fans.
