No offense intended, but that seems as unrealistic as Harbaugh... Shaw's an alum and been there for a long time. Took them to BCS bowls the last 3 and that goodwill won't be worn out with 1 rebuilding year. I'm not sure what on earth Nebraska could offer over Stanford either - they're perfectly capable of matching any money.

I hope it is just fans being delusional. I remember all the crap that was said to me after Tressel left OSU and how NU would NEVER have a coach like that. It's funny to see the sudden shift in Husker fan attitudes towards him now that Pelini is gone.

My attitude has always been consistant towards Coach Tress. I think he's a top notch guy, hell of a ball coach. I'd welcome him here.

See, he coaches in the same way that Saban coaches. He gets top notch guys around him and GUIDES them. He's not overly into calling plays himself, he lets his coaches coach.
But he's the end all be all of the team, like a head coach should be. Why do you think most of the folks that coached under him as assistants are still there? Says a lot about the guy.

I'm still sticking with David Shaw.
