charlton-warren.jpeg

The lone vacancy on Bo Pelini‘s Nebraska coaching staff has been filled, the school announced Friday morning.

Charlton Warren, NU stated in a press release, has been hired to oversee the Cornhuskers’ secondary. Warren has spent the past nine seasons at Air Force, including the last two years as defensive coordinator.

“Charlton Warren will be an excellent addition to our coaching staff,” Pelini said in a statement. “He is well-respected in the coaching profession and he has been a part of several successful defenses at Air Force. Charlton has great energy and will be an outstanding teacher and mentor for our defensive backs. We look forward to him hitting the ground running, both in working with the young men in our program and on the recruiting trail.”

Nebraska’s Avery Moss banned from campus, won’t play for Huskers in 2014

An incident that occurred over a year ago will keep Avery off Nebraska’s campus — and its football team — until at least 2015.

The Omaha World-Herald has confirmed that Moss has been banned from the NU campus until at least Dec. 31 of this year. Moss appealed the original ruling — and lost — and has one appeal remaining; if that appeal is denied, he will be facing a four-year ban, effectively ending his time in Lincoln.

In mid-December of 2012, a female employee of an on-campus convenience store accused Moss of twice exposing himself to her in the span of four hours. The alleged victim filed a complaint with the university police department, and subsequently picked Moss out of a photo lineup.

Can't even bring myself to cut and paste the Comments section--Sounds like a lot of these fans would feel right at home in Happy Valley.

They repeatedly refer to him exposing himself as "making a mistake." A Mistake?

Oh, sorry Ma'am. My mistake. I meant to wave my hand to you in a gesture of greeting. Instead, I became inexplicably confused, unzipped my trousers and waved something else instead. Silly me. Nothing to get excited about, though. Just an honest mistake.
(Seriously. Nothing wrong with me psychologically that you should in the least concern yourself about. Nope. Nothing. What. So. Ever.)
