Nebraska Cornhuskers (corn)

Man, Corn. I turned it on with about 5 mins left in the 3rd quarter and Nebraska was up 21-6. Then....a blocked punt for a TD, a FG after a fumble, a safety, and another TD and down goes Frazier, 28-21. Brutal

I really do feel bad for Nebraska fans who have put up with this all along and especially this season.
Many of us Buckeye fans know what those heartbreaking losses feel like when the game was in hand, but to suffer that week after week has to be miserable.
I've always thought that Corn fans were some of the best in the Country,. I know when I was there for the 2011 game ( the first B1G game for them) they treated Buckeye fans like kings and most of us tried to reciprocate the following year in Columbus. No fanbase that is as loyal and dedicated as they are deserves what is happening there. I have no idea what the answer is for them, but I hope they find it.

I honestly think they get over the hump next year.

I was also at their largest comeback ever in 2011. Spent some time tailgating with @knappic, who posted here for a while. Best I’ve ever been treated as a visitor, and it’s not even close.

That stadium was loud yesterday, and sold out for the 382nd straight time (dates to 1962). Seeing that support for a team that was 3-8 going in, and seeing a lot of stadiums look fairly empty this week, shows that those fans deserve better.

Many of those fans drive over 12 hours to those games.

I was truly impressed by the hospitality shown by those Husker fans. I had always heard that they are considered the "friendliest" fans in the country, and it's true.
We were obviously decked out in Buckeye gear, and just about every tailgate we walked by called out inviting us to share in food and drink and discuss football. They are a very knowledgeable group. Even after the "Bauserman collapse", none of them rubbed it in or gave us a hard time. I really hope that their fans who have travelled to Columbus have been shown the same courtesy and respect.
