Nebraska -1.5 at Sparty (ov/un 44.5) Sat 3:30 ABC/ESPN2

The PI in the end zone on the Sparty DB was an atrocious call. Trumped only, possibly, by the horrible call that brought back the Sparty INT touchdown. Look, I get that you're a Nebraska fan and see things in one direction, but I (unlike you) don't really care who won the game (in fact, if anything, I was cheering for Nebraska b/c the last thing I want is for scUM to be in the Big Ten championship game). But to suggest that the refs didn't screw over MSU is laughable (and to attempt to appeal to the total number of penalties in support for that ridiculous proposition is even worse).

I really don't care what your motivation is. The fact is, they called that penalty (PI) all game long like that. If that was the only call that went that way, you'd have an argument. When that's the call all game, you have nothing.

I did watch the game, and you're wrong. That pass defense--unlike the others that you're trying to sweep under the same category--was perfectly played. And I see you conveniently choose to ignore the other game-changing indefensible call that went your way. But whatever--the game's over and your team won. Not sure why you have to be so thin skinned when your team happened to benefit from horrible officiating.

I'm not really sure why you have to belabor the point that calls went in Nebraska's favor, and failing to mention calls that went in Sparty's favor. But you're doing it. Maybe you should examine why you're doing that.

Probably because he is not a PSU fan. Those calls would mean MSU won and scUM gets help to make the CG instead of Corn (Conspiracy!). Just a guess. But B1G refs have been horrific this year, regardless of the teams on the field. And it will probably carry over to basketball season (something you should wish for because Corn sucks on the hardwood, no offense.)

Again, and this can't be stressed enough, two of Sparty's TDs were aided by the refs. So the calls didn't help Nebrsaka win, they were equally bad for both teams. MSU would only have won if the refs had kept the flag in their pockets against them and thrown them on us, but they didn't. They were equally bad against both teams.

The refs were bad in the game. Equally bad? GMAFB. The two calls against MSU were horrible--worse than anything called against Nebraska the entire game. Try to say the officiating was equal all you want, but it wasn't. Sorry.

As for my motivation, I know your schtick is to play the victim card anytime anyone says anything involving Nebraska that you can twist into getting offended about, but how about this for motivation? I'm a fan of college football (even if OSU isn't playing) and I don't like to see the refs blow calls and hand the game to a team that shouldn't have won. And I'd be saying the same things had the same calls been made against Nebraska, so take off your tinfoil hat, fella--there's no anti-Nebraska slant to my post, no matter how badly you want to act like a victim and believe there is one.

And I'll repeat, since you were too busy being offended to take note of it the first time--I'd actually prefer that Nebraska win the game to keep scUM out of the Big Ten title game. I just think it's ridiculous that it happened the way it did.

This is just stupid. You want to talk football and stop trying to psychoanalyze someone you don't know from across the interwebz? Make a point about football or sit down and shut up.

Sparty had two (2) touchdowns gifted to them by BS calls. Take those away and it's 21-10 Nebraska at the end of the game and we're running out the clock.

I'll agree with you that the game was horribly officiated and I'll agree with you that the PI was a bad call. But they had made that call throughout the game. You keep missing the point - it doesn't matter if that call was horrible - it was. What matters is that they had consistently made that call throughout the game. If that was the first time they'd made that call you'd have a point.

It wasn't the first time. You don't have a point. End of story.

I apologize for calling your wife a bloated warthog, and I bid you good day.

Let me hold your hand, because reading comprehension must not be your forte (given the AAU issue, I'm not surprised). Here are my points about football:

1. The PI on MSU was egregious. Worse than anything (PI call or not) that Nebraska benefited from. And it was at the end of the game. And it basically handed Nebraska the game-winning TD.

2. You still (not surprisingly) refuse to address the horrible call on the MSU interception for a TD that would've ended the game.

I still don't understand your anger at this issue--your team ended up with a win at the end of the day. Does everyone have to pretend that Nebraska is a better team than it really is in order for you to stop whining?

The worst call of the game was that late hit on the Nebraska player when he was pushed into the MSU player right up against the band. Where the heck is he supposed to go?

This becomes more and more evident the more you go on here. Which part of 21-10 confuses you so much?

Nice job on the selective quoting. Let me help you again with your reading comprehension--what I don't understand your thin skinned approach and insistence on whining and playing the victim card. Maybe that's a badge of honor that Nebraska fans wear, I just don't know.

So you think the score was 21-10 Nebraska over MSU? You've probably also convinced yourself that Nebraska beat OSU this year.

At what point does the incessant back and forth matter?

The refs didn't:

  • Call a time out on defense that allowed the Huskers offense to take their time to call a play....
  • Give up two long throws on the final drive that made Martinez look like freaking John Elway...one being in the middle of 3 Spartans.....
  • Finally decide to blitz a guy who, while rushing for over 200 yards, threw some horrible picks....
  • Blitz a guy and leave man to man on the outside with no help...
  • Fail to pick up the game winning first down that would have iced the game...
  • Put pressure on a team that you KNOW makes late game pushes - especially when they are behind....
