All I know is this - nobody can complain about refs in this league, cause all the teams are affected by them.

Hell, we had one sequence against TSUN where we got a PF AND a 'sideline warning'. The funny thing is, the 'sideline warning' was a 15 yard penalty. That's like saying, "I'm writing you a warning, but giving you the speeding ticket at the same time," LOLZ

Tom Izzo isn't very happy with MSU students - ESPN

We don't quote a lot of basketball coaches on this football-specific blog. But few basketball coaches like football -- or are bigger straight shooters -- than Michigan State's Tom Izzo. And Izzo had a couple of interesting things to say related to Spartans football on Monday.

Speaking at his own basketball news conference, Izzo mentioned his disappointment with the student turnout at the Nebraska-Michigan State game on Saturday. There were large swaths of empty seats in the student section.

"I don't want to hear about it being too cold," Izzo said. "If it is, we've got a bunch of wimpy students, you know?

I like how this thread had 9 posts during the actual game, and is now almost up to 40. :biggrin:

As far as the officiating goes, it was bad all game long, and yes I'll admit that MSU got it worse than we did, although we certainly had a couple of highly questionable calls go against us as well.

Ultimately it doesn't matter. The calls were what they were, and that sucks for MSU fans and their team, but really that wasn't even close to the worst officiated game I've ever seen. Both the 2005 Alamo Bowl when we played Michigan (in our favor) and our 2010 game against Texas A&M (in their favor) were much worse.
