As for me saying things well if I said things like that then I was wrong. I have talked about coaching issues Archie Griiffin's greatness and such though. As for Tressel and ammo, he has had way more than his share of player trouble and such.

Cite a top 5 D 1 football coach that hasn't taken a chance with borderline players. I'd talk about chubby over in South Bend, but after a month of preperation I wouldn't be willing to even concede that he is even a top 10 coach at the moment.

Tressel has had his troubles with players, but every player that has stuck around for 3 or 4 years has went on to a great career at OSU with no problems. Kids make mistakes, a good coach puts them down the right life path, and helps them learn from those mistakes.

Wrong... A top 10 coach without top 10 players. Yes, they all take chances with players but not many have had the issues JT has. Funny when Miami, Tenn and such had the same issues it was the Cokers, Fulmers fault.

Besides, I not bring the fat comments up to start all this trouble I just thought they were wrong.Sorry for sharing my opinion...

oh the inhumanity, a fanbase not crucifying their own coach.

As for your top 10 joke, please stop listening to the ND-loving media. What exactly has he achieved? A 9-3 season? A wonderful achievement in almost beating USC? (Cal did the same thing last year).

Weis is WAY WAY behind:
Paterno, Bowden, Stoops, Carroll, Tressel, Brown, Spurrier, Beamer

He has not achieved enough to be ahead of:
Fulmer, Ferentz, Carr, Coker, Tuberville, Petrino, Richt, Meyer

Wash:
Rodriguez, Hawkins, Hill, Tedford.

There are others, but those are the easy ones to place ahead of this famous offensive coordinator turned media darling head coach.

I bet the NFL GM 's think he is ....

NFL GM's opinions mean squat in college. If they thought he was so hot, why didn't any of them hire him from New England?

Weis is an excellent OC, but hasn't proven himself as a head coach at the college level yet. He had six weeks to prepare for Ohio State, who still put up more offensive yardage than any other opponent in Notre Dame's 118-year, 1119-game history. Sorry, that's not top-10 material.

NDC: It will be a while before many Bucks respect rotund Chuck, simply based upon his unbelievable diss'n of JT with the assist. coach's pro fb ring award on t.v., saying, in essence, "one of these is worth all 5 of those" (JT's prior ncaa fb championships while at YSU and tOSU.) We, as with many ND fans, appreciate good football; we have no respect for arrogant assholes, one of whom is fat, and happens to be the new ND fb coach.

This may form a basis for this "fat" forum, as constructed presently.

Tune in when roly-poly wins a nc, or, otherwise shows himself to be more than what we see and hear on t.v. clips.

Since Chuck's statements are still fresh in our minds, and since we laid ND to the tune of 600+ yards, our opinions will continue for a few more days.

I could dismiss Weis' arrogance when he was an assistant in the NFL because, my reasoning was, he was so successful he had every right to be as smug as he damn well pleased. Heck, he won a few Super Bowls with a Michigan QB, so that's got to be worth something.

My beef with Weis really came to a head though after the whole "pass right" report. Every single D1A coach since the dawn of football has done this, allowing ailing kids one shining moment, visiting childrens hospitals, etc ... etc ... Weis was the only one in history I know of who has ever had a 15 minute featurette made praising his greatness on the basis of that one act, when he hadn't even coached, what? Five games?

And just how was the "pass right" report CW's fault? Funny your coach, players, fans go around talking about having the "best band in the land" and you say CWs arrogant?? How many NC's has OSU's band won??

As for the NFL GM's, ND beat them to it. It was widely reported that many teams were interested in him. CW was the hottest coaching prospect in the NFL at that time.

You guys have been saying that you can say CW is fat because he is, well why cant CW say one of his SB rings his worth more than all of JT's rings? Because it probably really is.....
