As for CW first play story, name one coach that called a play for a child that just passed away. It was a feel good story that made a lot of people smile. In this day and age it is amazing that any of you would dog a person for doing something good. The story sure as hell was alot better than a story of another player getting arrested.

Now you're trolling (see the warning I gave you).

Networks used to show bands at halftime, albeit a very long time ago ('60-'70s). Now the entire halftime is taken up with "analysis" and scores, sandwiched in between a ton of commercials (more commercials = more money). Yet you turn it into a personal vendetta against our band. No one is saying our team won us any national titles. Your argument about rating is so stupid it's funny...you think ratings of games increased because the networks stopped showing bands and had "analysis" instead? "Hey, Joe you gonna watch the game at 2:00?" "No, Vern, I hate their bands." "But, Joe, they got them thar analysts at halftime to tell us what we saw, instead." "Well, Vern, I thinks I be a-watchin' then. Hee yuk".

You went over the line with saying one Weis' SB is worth more the Tressel's five NC rings put together. You're simply insulting Tressel just to try and justify Weis' arrogance. Winning a Super Bowl means being the best of 32 teams. Winning a national title at I-AA and I-A means being the best of nearly 120 teams...no fuckin' comparison.

As for the "feel good" story of running the dying kid's play the first play of the season, no one is arguing that other coaches have done the same, or that it wasn't a cool thing to do. We're saying that Weis (and the media) went way overboard with it. Weis squeezed every bit of blood out of that turnip and then some.

Sticking up for your head coach is one thing, but insulting the accomplishments of our band and our head coach is another, and ain't gonna tolerated.

ENOUGH! What the hell is this crap?

Sorry Chief, but there are a lot of folks that don't like ND much and you'll just have to roll with the punches. Nothing new.

And to everyone else, Chief has taken a LOT of our shit over the years. If there is one ND fan that we should cut a little slack, it's him.

Anything else can be handled via PM.

At the very least I would hope that someone (anyone) would recognize that any productive conversation ended long ago on this thread. Locked.
