Even though it was a close game, there were some frustrating moments. I guess my biggest gripe is when I see the CPU do things I know I'll never be able to do. One example of this was their rushing TD. Their RB danced in the backfield before breaking multiple tackles on his way to a 60+ yard TD run. I think I broke one tackle the entire game as my RB looked like he was stuck in quicksand. Making the difficulty harder is one thing, but giving the CPU an unfair advantage is something else.
And judging by last week's scores, where one user lost 71-0 and another lost 81-0, the fun factor will evaporate quickly. If these sliders move to Piney's dynasty, I may not score a point the entire season.
IronBuckI;1395773; said:I upped tackling ability, a lot, before I advanced to this week, and apparently that didn't help as much as I though it would. FSU's top RB had 10 broken tackles against me. With one of those being a one armed body slam of my 300+lb defensive tackle who had him in the backfield. I will reduce CPU RB Ability before I advance to the next week.
I had no problem with pass rush today. I had 7 sacks against a 94 OVR rated team, with one of them forcing a fumble that was returned for a TD, and I had little to do with any of them. I don't typically control a D-lineman at the snap, but will only take control of them as they close on the QB.
The biggest improvement for me was dropped passes. WR catch was set to 20. I saved the game offline and played FSU on all-american with the exact same sliders that we had in week 1 and Hoyer was 0-6 with receivers having 5 dropped passes, before I started tinkering. Obviously this was not a "Heisman cheating" issue, but something more. I bumped the WR Catch up to 25 and it had a little bit of improvement, but not enough to make it not piss me off. After that, I set every penalty to 5, instead of only having offsides at 5 and everything else at 0. That's what made the difference. My receivers started catching balls that were thrown to them, when they were wide open or slightly covered, but weren't able to take a hit and still catch the ball unless their Catch in traffic rating was high. The new penalty settings apparently had a good affect on QB accuracy too, without ever touching the QB Accuracy slider. Hoyer was no longer throwing behind receivers that I had him lead or vice versa.
I like these sliders a lot. I will adjust CPU RB Ability down 10 or 15 points, but overall I think that this is what we're going to use the rest of Season 1.
I need 'mania to stop signing my recruits before I can get them to the whore-house.buchtelgrad04;1395789; said:I like the sliders. I just need you to lay off some of my recruits who are interested in my fine institution, as well as your whore-house with books.

IronBuckI;1395822; said:He is? All of his attributes suggest that he's a WR.
Whobebubba3;1395893; said:Maybe he is not a QB.........but for some reason I was under the impression that he had that option (from my pre-season recruiting). Hope I didn't get your hopes up........
