And I don't mind some WR drops cuz without them you can have a completion percentage in the 80-100% range. But then again I haven't played my game yet so of course my opinion will change as soon as I play :biggrin:

If I don't change the sliders, buchtel will be more pissed than anyone else. Especially the first time that he goes for a big hit, the defender falls on his face, and the CPU breaks 3 more tackles and runs for the 80 yard touchdown.

There is a certain amount of adjustment that needs to happen. Not only to be competitive against the CPU, but to get better practice for playing against other humans...making those games more fun and competitive.

Having said that. It also needs to be clear that making a video game so hard that half of the league just isn't having fun, for the sole purpose of making a video game "more real" is ludicrous. I said that I had no intention of handcuffing players, and I'm going to work to adjust things so that doesn't happen. I plan on doing what I can to even it out so everyone can have a good time playing this video game. My triple OT win last night was close, but it was not fun. Some of the stupid shit that happened in that game was unacceptable, and if setting the sliders to levels that make unrealistic things happen in order to force realistic results is what has to be done to make it "more real", then I'm cool with playing a video game that makes it possible for some players to score a hundred points on occasion.

Yeah, keep working on those sliders so we won't have those problems in the other dynasty :wink:

Like I said over in the other thread a week or so ago. In sliders I was not looking for something that makes the game 'hard' and unnatural. I just want sliders that don't make it too easy.

One reason I was really pushing to find a good Varsity set, but I just couldn't find them.

I'm thinking the only thing that needs to change from Piney's sliders is the running game. That and stupid CPU dominanat Heisman.

If you combine everything from Piney's dynasty with the running games of this one, I think we would have the perfect sliders.

I gave up around 40-0 :lol: and started running FG blocks and running the ball to run the clock out.

Let me break down the first few possesions of the game..

Arkansas first play from scrimmage, 3 broken tackles - burned all my DBs for the score.

I get the ball, run 3 times for a first down - throw a ball - picked.

Arkansas runs, breaks 3 tackles again for a 20 yard gain. Throws a pass, dropped INT. Runs the ball - TD.

I get the ball - throw it - picked off.

I'm not exaggerating - I wish I had a camera to record what happened next: every pass play for the next 6 plays - I dropped user picks.. they scored on a run.

At this point, I'm laughing wishing I actually knew what the sliders were set at..

As you can tell by the final score - the game kinda went downhill from there. There were several times too, where I would cut up field and my tailback would run backwards?

Nah, I won't be pissed....that happens to me now. I already know how to compose myself. I just yell like a bitch and that's the end of it.

Let me be clear - the only real beef I have is the dropped picks and the 5 broken tackle runs..

if anybody complains, just tell them I let you borrow a bunch of points and all of my defensive ability. that should help explain both our games.

This is what I hate about Heisman. Some games you are just not going to win no matter what you do. In others it's just like play All-American

Just finished my game. The Purple People Eaters won 84-14 against the WVU Mountaineers.

Both of their TD's came in mop up duty with all of my second stringers in. I didn't drop many catchable passes, maybe 2 or 3, nothing out of the ordinary. I did, however, drop 4 INT's. I only picked of Pat White 5 times.
