Time for us to play? Figures it is NBA draft night. But I dont' see why I can't play tonight as I spent time with the woman last night so I can bail on her early tonight :wink2: anytime after 8pm. (I can maybe get on as early as 7:15 if need be)
I can wait until 8. I've got a new sound setup, and I'll have to play around with the microphone to see if we can run the chat during our game. I got a set of Tritton surround sound headphones for PS3. It has a USB microphone that can be plugged in and run through the headphones along with the game sound. I haven't played with the mike very much, and don't know how well it works though. I'm just glad that you weren't on and ready to play last night. No way in hell that I could have come down from the Illinois-MSU game last night. My hands were still shaking a couple of hours after the game. Fucking crazy.

Dang it... now I wish I was online last night to force you to play :wink2:

You are lucky... playing Bly & Pryor back to back will be helpful. The only bad part is I think I use him totally differently that whobe uses Bly. (and Pryor has the arm strength to go long )

I am so pissed about how I used him against Fanatic. But now I have a few more games of practice with him against the cpu so I am more confident in the new style offense I have.

Bly successfully went long on me a few times over the 1.75 games that we played in the last two days. Whobe adjusted to fanatic's strategy of just keeping contain, but Bly just doesn't have the arm strength to be worth a shit on a hail mary, where running or short passes are useless.

I don't have any idea how I'm going to play Pryor and company tonight. I'm not liking my chances against you. Whobe broke my nickel corner too, so that's just one more 93 or 94 speed guy that I won't against you.

Sounds like you did the same thing to WHOBE that he did to me a few seasons back.
Yeah, it was crazy. I thought that we were both going to score 100. He drove down pretty easily on me for his first two TDs, and my first two TDs consisted of three plays, and one of those plays was a run...none were lobs. :wink2:

I think I was up on him by 3 or 4 TD's in the first half and he came back and beat me my going for 2 in an overtime. I feel for him. Comebacks suck for the loser.

The Lobs are still relevant in 2010. I've also discovered a new playbook that fits my style. :wink2:

Then we'll just hope that sliders will actually do something other than actually forcing players to run cheese against computer opponents in 2010.

I was just joking about the lobs. I've played very little of the demo and really haven't been using the lobs in either dynasty for a while. It started getting really boring. I only use them now if someone plays man to the outside. IMO, this is pretty realistic

I tried two lobs against Oregon our last game. The first one was intercepted and I got sacked before I released the second one. I guess I'm not too good at them.

It takes a lot of practice. Having a 6'5" receiver with 99 SPD helps too. :tongue2:

It also doesn't work well when the CBs you are throwing against have the same speed as the WR, as Oregon has a 97 spd & 98 spd CB. :wink2:

Speaking of... Prepare for alot of lobs Iron :wink2:

I've actually narrowed it down to when I have a speed advantage of +2 over the CB I can hit the lob on just about every man play. It doesn't matter how tall or fast the WR is.

It does take a lot of practice to perfect. It's all about timing.

I wasn't using either of those CB's to pick that one off. I have the 98 speed guy 3rd on the depth chart.

Take a look at the speed of my starting corners and safeties before you decide to go that route.

That reminds me. I need to get my bigger, faster, dumber strong safety back into the starting lineup before we play tonight.

I found that with a speedy WR like Carr, I dont need to lob the ball. All I have to do is get him crossing the field and he is gone 85-90 percent of the time.

Yep, especially if you run a post with him and roll your QB out while using the right analogue stick to throw to the side lines. Pretty easy to out run anyone
