NCAA Tournament, the field of 65

...If I were a Kansas fan, I'd be pissed. KU has by far the toughest road to the Final Four of any #1 seed. They will face, in order, the toughest 16-seed by far in Lehigh (Jayhawks won't lose, but it will be a very difficult game for a 1-16 matchup), then after a relatively benign 8-9 game winner they must face the Maryland-Michigan State winner (both teams capable of beating anyone on a given night)... I really think Kansas will be too tuckered out to beat the Terps in the Elite Eight.

You're right. Should've said "to beat the Terps to reach the Elite Eight."
You think Kansas will be too worn out after playing Lehigh and the UNLV/N. Iowa winner to handle Maryland in the round of 16? It's not clear to me that a "gauntlet" of Lehigh and UNLV/N. Iowa is unduly difficult for a 1-seed. Certainly Maryland has a shot at Kansas, but it seems difficult to imagine that a combination of Lehigh and UNLV or N. Iowa will break Kansas down to the point that they're no longer themselves.

Absolutely agree. Kansas may lose to Maryland or Michigan St. of their own accord, but it won't be because of the difficulty of handling Lehigh and UNLV/Northern Iowa. Not to mention that the Maryland/MSU match-up would be the following weekend giving them 4-5 days of rest... It's kind of a foolish statement. If Kansas can win the Big 12 tournament with 3 games in 3 days I think they can handle this.

I think Maryland is a much better team than its seed; they deserve IMO to be a 2-seed. Remember they won the ACC regular season.

I agree. I don't know about a 2 seed, but a 3 yes. I don't have them beating Kansas but it's not absurd to think that they could. I really think that these number 1 seeds could see some early exits this year. A lot of parody in college basketball this season.

I have Wisconsin taking out Kentucky, and I'm thinking Louisville could take out Duke if they are on and Sosa plays well.

Especially on this board. We make fun of all opposing teams equally.

Except for TSUN, And Duke. And Indiana. Dammit, we have no parity in parody.
