NCAA Tournament: Pick the 4 #1 seeds

I think last nights loss for UConn knocked them from a #1 seed unless MSU, Memphis and Duke all lose their conference tourneys. I think they only way Duke can get a #1 seed is if both MSU and Memphis lose. Hopefully the Bucks can do their part to help UConn by knocking off MSU... after they beat Bucky of course. :)

Fungo here. Beat Bucky with a fuckin' 2x4, Hacksaw Jim Duggan style. He's a bigger bitch than Eric Devendorf.

If Louisville loses, there's a possibility of Pitt, Memphis, N. Carolina, MSU.

Only Dubs placed vCash on that, and IIRC, he meant to bet 500K but a typo made it 5 million. That would work out well for him at 33-1.

Anything with both Memphis and Louisville falls in to the 'None of the above' category.

Oklahoma's first round loss should end their hopes at a #1 seed.

N. Carolina should be a #1 regardless of the ACC Tourney result.
Pitt probably gets a #1 even after losing to WV in the 1st round.

UConn, Louisville, Memphis, and Michigan State should all get either a 1 or a 2. Duke shouldn't get a #1, even if they win the ACC Tourney. I'll be surprised if the Big East gets 3 #1 seeds, but if Memphis and MSU both lose it's bound to happen.

Any attention paid to these conference fund raisers is bull shit. Why would a coach whose team has already proven itself over the regualr season push (or have to push) his team in a meaningless tournament? Let 'em rest. Get an early start on practicing for their next opponent.

I pray for a year when five teams with woeful records get the "automatic berth" and worthier teams sit at home. Maybe that will end this bull shit.

I was thinking the same thing,, but Louisville's win over Nova tonite may have killed that one. Best case for me would be for West Virginia to beat Syracuse then Louisville. If NC and MSU run out, there is a possibility still. Louisville has some really bad losses. The toughie will be to get Memphis in, and quite frankly, OConn out. As I see it tonight, If I had to bet again I'd look for Pitt, NC, Louisville, and UConn. Pitt and NC are "locks" at this point.

Peace.

THIS IS MY YEAR!

MSU WON THE BIG 10 BY 4 GAMES AND WHILE I'M HAPPY FOR THE BUCKS AND LAUGHING MY ASS OFF AT U CONN, PITT, UNC, XAVIER ET AL; THESE TOURNEYS MAKE A FARCE OUT OF THE SEASON.

As for the topic at hand, I thought their borderline play during the season put them on the bubble

tOSU knocked MSU out of a #1 seed.

NC and Pitt are in. Memphis will probably get one since MSU lost. I think the last one will go to Louisville if they beat Cuse tonight, and to UConn if Cuse wins.

That would be either the third line from the top, or the 'none of the above' line.

So that means I am rooting really hard for Louisville right now.

C'mon 'none of the above' !!!

I see that Palm projects Ohio State as a #6 seed. link
I would take that playing against St. Mary's the first game and probably Kansas in the second. I would not mind seeing that all. I think we could do very well against both of those teams.

However, I think that Purdue should be a #4 seed if not even a #3. I think that they are playing very well and are probably better than Michigan State right now.
