NCAA Tournament: Pick the 4 #1 seeds

Right, 'cause you need a big payout. :shake:

I cleaned up during March Madness last year. I plan on turning my v300 into a small fortune.

Regardless of how much vCash anybody has, it's always good to hit one with long odds. Piney actually requested this vBet, and since I cleaned up on last year's version, I was happy to oblige.

Pitt, Louisville, Memphis, and UNC looking pretty good right now.

If Sparty wins the Big Ten Tournament, I'll be appalled if Memphis and Louisville get #1 seeds ahead of MSU. Although if Louisville wins the Big East tourney, they'd have a good case.

Joe Lunardi's updated bracketology has Pitt, UConn, NC, and Louisville right now. That would be 'none of the above'.
I was going to take that but the bet was closed before I good bet and I think you're going to be very "appalled" because even if MSU wins the Big 10 tournament I don't think that they will get a #1 seed. #2 yes but not #1. JMO

I'll be appalled if Memphis doesn't get a #1 seed, and I don't think Sparty deserves one under any circumstances. Louisville I'm not convinced about.

Look at kenpom.com; he has Memphis as the #1 team in the nation overall. They're my pick to win it all. Sparty is ranked #11 overall by Pomeroy, and Louisville #8. The man knows his stuff.

Louisville did win the Big East. That's a good accomplishment.
It's also somewhat misleading. Of all the top teams in the conference, their schedule was by far the easiest; they played Pitt and UConn each only once, and both games were at home. (And UConn smoked them.)

Still a good team, just not a 1-seed.

They also recently got whooped up on by Notre Dame, who might not even make the tourney. They lost to Western Kentucky and UNLV. And what's their best OOC win? 19-12 Kentucky? UAB?

And the Big Ten's RPI as a conference is as good as the Big East's.

So if MSU wins the regular season by 4 games, and wins the conference tournament, and gets a #2 seed while the Big East gets three #1 seeds, I call bullshit. But I don't think the selection committee will let that happen.

It's too late to vbet, and I need a vstimulus check before I go to vVegas anyway, but my four 1-seeds would be:

Memphis
Pitt
TarHeels
UConn

Frankly, I have Sparty as a 3-seed. Losing games at home to Penn State and Northworstern will do that to you. I bet the Committee gives them a 2, though.

Oklahoma's first round loss should end their hopes at a #1 seed.

N. Carolina should be a #1 regardless of the ACC Tourney result.
Pitt probably gets a #1 even after losing to WV in the 1st round.

UConn, Louisville, Memphis, and Michigan State should all get either a 1 or a 2. Duke shouldn't get a #1, even if they win the ACC Tourney. I'll be surprised if the Big East gets 3 #1 seeds, but if Memphis and MSU both lose it's bound to happen.

I think last nights loss for UConn knocked them from a #1 seed unless MSU, Memphis and Duke all lose their conference tourneys. I think they only way Duke can get a #1 seed is if both MSU and Memphis lose. Hopefully the Bucks can do their part to help UConn by knocking off MSU... after they beat Bucky of course. :)
