NCAA punishes USC - Reggie Bush, OJ Mayo, Dwayne Jarrett, Joe McKnight investigation

Put Tom Friend on the job... he'll get the truth.

And more!

Some of you legal experts, is the potential testimony of Lake completely spoiled by the illegal donation of his gifts he is now trying to reclaim with damages.

I am with Methomps in thinking USC will escape any NCAA chargeable offense. The ESPN scrutiny will stain her reputation.
Bush v. Lake will be settled out of court with Bush paying Lake for his expenses and silence.
Right now they are negotiating the settlement.

Seems to me that Lake is/has been hoping for a quick settlement because he has a weak case. He and his attorneys probably believed that Bush would agree to a quick settlement to avoid the information that would come out during the suit.

Turns out no information is coming out because both sides are stalling.

I will be very surprised if this goes anywhere. And the fact that it doesn't will be one of the low moments in NCAA sports history. Bush has taught us all the recipe for NCAA investigations. Deny. Deny. Deny. Refuse to comply. Buy off those who can spill the beans.

Some Heisman trophy winner.

SignOnSanDiego.com > Sports -- Accuser's deposition still iffy in Bush case

Another round of threats and accusations has erupted in Lloyd Lake's lawsuit against former USC running back Reggie Bush.

This time, Lake's attorney has threatened to delay his client's much-anticipated deposition scheduled for this week unless Bush and his family provide more written answers and documentation as part of the pretrial discovery process.

If Lake's deposition doesn't happen Thursday and Friday, it will mark the third time Lake hasn't shown up for or walked out of a scheduled deposition. The second time came Feb. 12 when he objected to the presence of an armed guard hired by Bush's attorney, David Cornwell.
