I guess Petey won't be selling very many more of his books now.

I don't normally listen to sports radio, but hey, today is the news day of all news days....

So Keshawn Johnson is on 1460 to "give the pulse of the Trojan Nation".

I can't do it justice. I really can't. My best paraphrase is: "When a program is winning folks will drop the dime and try to bring them down. Somebody calls and the NCAA starts going through your trash. They couldn't prove anything about Reggie so they just came up with this institutional control thing because they wanted to find something".

I [censored] you not. This was the gist.

But it gets better. When asked about how it will impact current and future recruits he said, as best I can restate "Not at all. I have been talking with kids from the 2010 and 2011 classes in the past 24 hours and they said this changes nothing."

So, this former USC player - i.e. booster - has been talking to unsigned recruits in regards to their intention to attend USC.

Anybody know where Keshawn keeps his trash?

Would be tough to do anything about this since the Heisman selection team and the Trophy itself isn't affiliated with the NCAA.

A spokesman for the Heisman committee said a week or so ago that the committee would review the '05 Heisman if Bush were ruled retroactively ineligible. This was reported on College Football Live. They named the spokesman IIRC, but I don't remember the name.

I saw on the crawl yesterday that the BCS has said they would review the '04 NC if it were determined that USC used ineligible players.

So while the NCAA isn't in control, the powers that be (Heisman Trust and BCS) seem to be leaving the door open.

I'm telling you, if you find ten minutes of free time, wander over to a usc board. Forget scUM, forget the domers, there is not a more reprehensible fanbase in all of sports. They're like a bunch of spoiled fucking children who had their favorite toy taken away. Fuck them.
