I've always said D-Rob has better feet and a stronger arm.... better teeth.... better hair.... he's a better dancer....

ok.. maybe not a better dancer.

But, he's still better at everything else.
Of course, even though all that is true - you take it and a dime and you're still 90 cents short of a dollar.

Just sayin

And this is the wisdom of leaving it to the coaches. It's not like RichRod just fell off the bus...his wisdom is very different than anything we have witnessed at the school up north...he is pathbreaking.

So RR is leading UM down the road less travelled.

Should we tell them that even a cursory glance at UM's history and all of their past success would suggest that the road less travelled by the Wolverines would be the path to mediocrity?

Naah...surely they will figure this out.

Eventually.

Bush case on Heisman Trust's radar

The president of the Heisman Trophy Trust said Thursday that if former USC Trojans running back and Heisman winner Reggie Bush were to be ruled retroactively ineligible by the NCAA, a review of Bush's award could commence as early as Tuesday.
.
.
.
"We have not discussed these issues yet because right now it's a hypothetical," said New York attorney William Dockery, the organization's president. "We are a charity organization run by pro bono trustees, so we focus our energies appropriately. But if and when [the NCAA] issues a decision we will review the underlying facts and possibly do our own investigation."
Dockery said the Heisman Trophy Trust, which has eight members, meets on the second Tuesday of every month. While the agenda for this month already has been set, Dockery said it could be adjusted.
When the Bush case came to light, there were nine members on the board. But the federal judge John E. Sprizzo died, leaving eight members, which is important to note because the Heisman Trophy Trust typically makes decisions based on a majority vote.
Dockery said, however, that in the instance of an extremely important decision, a "super-majority" vote could be required. This means that the board, which consists of lawyers, executives and even one prominent artist, likely would require six of eight votes to vacate Bush's trophy.
.
.
.
The Heisman Trophy Trust will look closely at what Bush was found by the NCAA to have individually done to violate NCAA rules, including whether he received extra benefits. On the Heisman Trophy ballot, it is stated that "the recipients must be in compliance with the bylaws defining an NCAA student athlete."

Well while they are at it maybe they should go back and look at Woodsons status when he won in '97.

Woodsons status? I must have missed something. When has CW ever had anything surrounding him controversial in regards to college?
You aren't alone. For some bizarre reason, the majority of um fans have no knowledge of this. Of the few who do, a large portion of them think it was just a suit and some small stuff on the way to the heisman.

Charles Woodson admitted before a federal grand jury in the grand larceny investigation of Marion Darnell Jones that he knowingly accepted cash, trips, clothing from an agent prior to the "National Championship" season. The ONLY reason that Michigan wasn't stripped of its national championship by the NCAA was that the investigation was performed by the Federal Government and not the NCAA and that any disclosure was done after the statute of limitations expired.

The NCAA is a corrupt facade pretending to enforce rules when everyone knows they have little to any interest in doing so, unless it is something small and pedantic that doesn't really require their involvement.

They knew there was ugliness at um for the fab five but officially found practically nothing despite two investigations. Just like many similar investigations, including clarett, the multiple investigations at the sooners, Kentucky.

Adrian Peterson was in a scandal at the same dealership which got caught with bomar a few years later. They employed a huge chunk of the team, yet almost nothing came of that. What so they crack down on? Texting.

Same with the shady stuff at bama, especially with Saban, from huge signing bonuses for julio Jones to blatant abuse of the oversigning advantages, they crack down on bama for selling textbooks.

It never gained much traction, but here is some of the "dirt".

In May, The State of Columbia, S.C., cited receipts found in Summit's abandoned offices that showed Woodson took a trip to South Carolina at the company's expense in May 1997. The paper also said Woodson was fitted for a tuxedo at a Columbia clothier two weeks before accepting the Heisman Trophy.

Some more little known info about CW:

During his college career Charles Woodson played football for one of the great traditional programs in college football history - the Michigan Wolverines. Like Harvard and Yale, the Wolverines glory days have faded. But their famous "winged helmets" once struck terror in schools from nearby Toledo all the way to the Appalachian Mountains.

Michigan is best known for creating the original version of Script Ohio- a marching band formation that has become a regular staple of current national juggernaut Ohio State.
