NCAA Investigation into Indiana Basketball Program

In terms of media coverage, Indiana is fairly fortunate that today is almost all about Clemens & McNamee.

It will be interesting to see how long this story lasts, and how much Indiana and Sampson get slammed by the media members.

The NCAA accused Sampson of failing ??to deport himself ... "

Anyone else find this language funny?
But the NCAA accused Sampson of failing "to deport himself ... with the generally recognized high standard of honesty?? and failing to promote an atmosphere of compliance within the men's basketball program, categorized as major infractions.

You think they've noticed how much Mr. Sampson:

Looks like Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez?

Indiana lost at home tonight, 68-66 to Wiscy. Anything that keeps them from getting a Big Ten title while Sampson is still the coach is a good thing by me.

Brian Butch banked in a three with 4.5 seconds left. Anyone who saw the Illinois-Indiana game last week will call that karma.

Makes ya wonder how he was able to convince Eric Gordon to rescrind his commitment to Illinois and sign with IU.

I wonder what the Illinois boards look like right now, hahaha. I don't feel so bad for the way they treated IU when they came to play them last week now. Not that I felt all that bad to begin with...

he's done this before how could he Deny it and try to explain what happened?? It's pretty clear cut what happened....

Personally I think they should ban themselves from the tourney. They made the arguement "well these kids have nothing to do with the infraction".... Yeah well neither did our squad when we self imposed our post-season play! Not only did none of the players have nothing to do with it, we had an entirely new coach! If they want to save the face of that basketball program they should take that ban and HOPE TO GOD that the NCAA feels pitty on them and doesn't inflict more damage.

Sampson is gone after this year too IMO... If he's not then Indiana sure is sacraficing wins for respect thats for sure.
