GG, MD. It was a good, close game until the final quarter when things just fell apart for your defense.

I gave this team a run against Vanderbilt. There are definitely going to be times I regret changing my RB to a WR, but there will be other times when I'll be glad I did. I couldn't get my running game going, but my guy did have a couple nice catches including one for a TD.

I'm liking the 3* OLB I recruited, also. He's starting a ROLB and is easily my best linebacker, even if he isn't rated the highest.

Has anyone had a chance to see if the TB '13 website is up today? I haven't started filling in my roster yet, and figured, since I waited this long, I could wait until the new site is up...assuming it comes up soon.

I am going to be very busy for the next three weeks. I don't know when I'll have time to create my roster for the Alcatraz Island Convicts. Hopefully I'll be able to get this thing back online in early August.

Why so long? A couple of reasons. I already mentioned that I'll be busy, and I don't want to try and juggle two dynasties and a reasonably large home project. The other reason is that we still have pretty shitty teams. I would like for us to get acclimated to the game play, and to the new recruiting, before jumping into season 3 of this OD.

Because of the type of OD we're playing, I will probably just use the auto-name feature on the default roster rather than using real names. The whole conference structure of this dynasty, and the promotion/relegation system pretty much negates the need to make this to be as "real" as the the current college football setup.

Teambuilder news. If you haven't used TB '13 yet, it appears as though they've done another overhaul to the ratings. The thing that popped out immediately was blocking ratings. There are no boxes for Pass/Run Block Footwork or Pass/Run Block Strength. Just Pass Block, Run Block, and Impact Block. I'm not sure why the change was made, but keep that in mind while setting up whatever spreadsheets or other tools you'll use to fill in your rosters.

I finally got around to entering my TB info. I finished QBs, RBs and FB, but when I went to save, I was told that my team info couldn't be found. Just how awesome is EA?

So I guess I should look into doing that teambuilder thing, eh?

So got my spreadsheet ready for inputting my team into teambuilder and got a question...

Just want to confirm the changes in recruiting pitches. I assume we use our Fan Base grade for Stadium Atmosphere and we just lose Coach Loyalty :(

So when are we shooting to get things going? August 1? Just need a rough deadline to get things uploaded when I can.

Fan base is still fan base on the TB site. I assume that it will be converted to Stadium atmosphere when it's uploaded.

As far as coach loyalty. We all had a big bump in coach loyalty due to signing new contracts. I'll let you guys voice how you want to handle that being gone, but my idea is to bump coach prestige up a couple notches. Example: my coach prestige is currently a 'D'. My coach loyalty is a B or B+. That would bump my prestige up to a C-. What do you guys think?

Edit: I'm hoping for August 1st, but I haven't started on my roster yet.

For NCAA13, I have decided to discontinue the use of PCU. Port Chester is actually located in New York, and my team is now in California. My new university will be located in San Francisco, California. They will be called the Alcatraz Island Convicts. "The Rock" will be an exact replica of Beaver Stadium in University Park, PA. The primary uniforms will be Penn State replicas, and the new, giant logo at midfield will be that of Pedobear dressed up as Joe Pa.
This idea has changed. I don't really feel like mocking that cesspool anymore. I couldn't find a movie/TV team from Cali that I liked, so I decided to resurrect the San Francisco Dons football team that last played division 1 football in 1951, went undefeated that season, and turned down a shot at playing in a, possibly, program saving bowl game because they refused to leave their two black players at home.

I thought that might be a better use of my creative energy that using my TB skills to mock Ped State.

After playing a little while with fake named rosters, I just can't do it. I'm going to use whatever rosters Olaf uses.

That makes sense, maybe give each letter a numerical grade:

A+ / 12
A / 11
A- / 10
B+ / 9
B / 8
B- / 7
C+ / 6
C / 5
C- / 4
D+ / 3
D / 2
D- / 1
(Is there an F?)

Then average the two together and take that letter grade

Good call...

And I am debating on changing my team up a bit. Since there is a REAL Texas State... I am kinda stumped what to do, especially since they are the Bobcats... Debating about just using them and their uniforms and such, or creating ANOTHER Texas college team. Just sick there are like 50 College teams in the state of Texas.

Quick question, what if I moved to a different state/region? Is that ok? Or I should stay in Texas?

I think Idaho is a sleeping giant for recruits. I'd look there for starters.
