NCAA Football (PS3) Promotion/Relegation Online Dynasty

Mine too. My 77OVR true freshman QB was only 2 for 3 passing, but he got 120+ yards and 2 TDs out of those 2 completions. He also averaged 5+ yard/carry, and that doesn't count the plays where he pressed the defense, and pitched it to the Back for nice gains.

My "stud" 3* athlete ended up only being a 66 OVR HB, but I'm not sure where his low rating came from. He's fast, and he fell forward every time he got hit. As my second string RB, he had over 100 yards rushing with 2 TDs and 60+ yards receiving with 1TD.

I may have been a little cocky, but I don't care a whole lot about my non-conference and non-rivalry games, so I put my backups in as soon as I went up 20-10. I was pretty pleased with the way the scrubs performed, and it helped me prevent my best players from getting injured. I'm red-shirting very few players in this dynasty (only transfers, I think), so I like to give everyone as much PT as possible.

First off... EEEEFFFFFFFFF you about that QB...

Second... you do know that playing backups mean nothing right? The only thing they do is keep your starters from getting hurt. Not like it helps them develop any.

As for me, I am redshirting anyone and everyone I can if I don't need them to start. #1 gives me an extra year of training results when they are seniors. #2 spreads out recruiting numbers. Ideally I only want 15 seniors at most graduating, as it allows me to oversign and cut when needed

Keeping my starters from getting hurt is what I'm trying to do. Playing backups also helps me when it comes to knowing who they are, and what they can do. The first couple of games are almost irrelevant, when it comes to promotion, and I want to make sure I have a healthy team for conference play, and, hopefully, the Fiesta Bowl. This year's starting HB was hurt a lot last season, so I'm trying to keep him healthy, and I'm trying to see what HBs 2-4 can do. I'm also starting a true frosh QB, in an option offense, and don't want to him to get a fatigue injury due to playing late in a meaningless blowout.

I redshirt anyone and everyone that I can in Olaf's dynasty, and will do so in this dynasty when my depth of talent reaches a certain level. Right now, any freshman that make the team are probably good enough to start or be in the two deep. Any of the other guys on the team are just filler, and I'm not relying on an extra year of progression to make them useful to me. I just want to use them for what they are (depth chart filler for when I use mass subs) and get them out of the program ASAP.

I'm redshirting everyone not starting. But what's the plan when 13 comes out? Are we TeamBuilding teams like we did a couple years ago? I think we only have two full seasons left until 13's released.

That's my assumption, could be easier since you can download rosters from the website. Now if there was a way to upload that into team builder...

who am I kidding... they'd never do that

Yep.

I'm holding out hope for roster uploads, but not holding my breath. When we uploaded a few years ago, I entered everything into a spreadsheet, and then re-ordered my rows and columns to match the order that I would have to enter them into the TB site. Being able to skip that first step, and download the rosters as a spreadsheet is going to be huge.

The one, very terrible, flaw in my plan is that I can't find any way, on the TB site, to alter a player's hometown. So, we're going to be stuck with the pipelines of the rosters that we use. I'm definitely done trying to force the expansion of my pipelines. Lucky, for me, I have Cali and Texas, but I'm not so sure that everyone else will be so lucky.

Pettway is such a pussy. 23 carries in game one, but he was subbed out for the whole 2nd half. 6 carries into game two and he's already out for 2 weeks with a strained pectoral.

What's bullshit is that he has a stamina rating of 99, and an injury rating of 84. 84 isn't great, but he's been hurt 4 or 5 times already, missed at least 8 full games, and I've only been his coach for 15 games.

Had a 24-7 lead and then EA starts doing its normal crap and all of a sudden I can't get a stop. QB for Wyoming throwing balls off his backfoot 80 yards downfield and all of a sudden their back in it. I score with like :50 some seconds left to take a 3 point lead, then the returner who's fumbled twice decides he's going to truckstick every tackler on the kickoff to take it back to their 40. They kick a FG and tie it. In OT I try to knock a ball down and it gets tipped directly to a guy standing in the endzone. I take the ball, hit a 15 yard slant on the first play with nobody around me and somehow when I get tackled I get stripped and there's a Wyoming guy right there to pounce on it. Game over.
