That's pretty fucking sad dude
Haha I really don’t care. It’s a game… I’ve been humbled and I’ve lost plenty in life.

I don’t need the life lessons of an Xbox crushing loss on the road in terrible weather to Sparty. I lost the games, it’s vs AI (otherwise I play it out), and there’s no reason to take my medicine like a man lol.

Frankly I need to keep playing sparty to understand the game.

Well I must be the worst player in this game then because every damn player I throw to is covered like I’m playing the 2022 UGA defense.
Look at it though...the first throw was fast, like 1 second and gone. The 2nd throw only worked because the safety came up.

Even with that, this dude is clearly playing with in-game sliders and probably playing on freshman level.

This game is freaking hard.

Just turned off the game twice vs Sparty due to impending losses. I don’t even remember doing that in the last game.

Few things I’ve noticed finally playing a decent team on the road.

1. Road games are no joke- I had trouble settling the QB down. I couldn’t audible because the play would be wrong, if I did settle the QB down it only took 1-2 bad plays for it to come back, and to me it seemed like a real game in that once it went downhill it went downhill pretty hard. Example is I went for it down 7 in the 4th and didn’t get it. 1 play later I’m down 14.

2. Conditions really impact the game too. It was windy and very rainy when I played and it affected the game. Missed two extra points because of the wind and I had probably 10 dropped passes. The craziest thing though was I had a WR slip and fall during a route. I’ve never had that happen before and I got sacked because of it. Went from being a nice 15+ yard play (had the guy beat on a post) to a 10 yard loss after my guy slipped.

3. The OL protection vs the AI is a complete joke. I was getting sacked 3+ times per game vs Akron/UWM/Marshall and it was much the same vs Sparty.

4. My DL pressure with all these bad asses on the DL is a joke too. Unless I’m controlling they aren’t getting home.

Overall, I guess this will make it more challenging but damn I think they over compensated.

The OL in the game is a joke all together, your OLs AI is awful, too many times do blockers either stand around and legit just do nothing or go and do something random that they aren't supposed to be doing. The game is pretty broken gameplay wise overall. Defensive AI is really bad at times too, I notice a lot of the time when pursuing a ball carrier they will actually work their way to where they are behind the ball carrier and chasing them from behind instead of taking the logical angles that make sense. And of course defensive players like in NCAA 14 suddenly have comical vertical leaps in pass defense allowing for ridiculous pass break ups or INTs. Just a ton of incredibly frustrating shit due to the game being broken, it almost makes it not playable to me. I understand it's a video game and doesn't have to be just like real life, but stuff like these just feels so cheap when it happens while playing. Haven't tried playing online yet but I can imagine people have already figure out ways to exploit these flaws to extreme advantage too which will make trying to play random online games very annoying.

A lot of the difficulty is due to the straight up broken shit, IMO. I'd say maybe they can fix these things with patches, but its EA so they will make it worse before it gets better.

In Road To Glory my O-line usually double teams random D-line and forget the guy in front of them which is where the play is designed to go. I also noticed that when I am out wide to block as a WR the DB in front of me instantly goes straight to the HB as soon as the ball is snapped.

I have not noticed anything play wise that makes me think it isn't NCAA 14 on current gen consoles. I will still drop time into it though, but it should have been so much more after a decade long hiatus.

Time to head back to “Bill Walsh’s College Football” on Sega Genesis.

This game is quite a bit more broken than NCAA 14 was and they had so much time to work on it. I figured it would end up sucking because you can definitely count on EA to put out a half ass product when they know people will buy it like crazy regardless.

Despite some frustrations and the occasional glitches I could still have a lot of fun playing NCAA 14. So far NCAA 25 is way more frustration than fun.

Yeah I’m ready to say it. This game wildly disappoints in the way it plays. The graphics are great, the traditions of each school is awesome to see but damn this game is very disappointing to play.

How is it the players move more life like in 2014 than they do in this game? I can see a hole open up and hit it but my players just run the fuck into people. It’s not that I’m steering them into people either. In 2014 if there’s a lane I’m hitting the crease easy but nope not this game. It feels like I’m steering a semi truck even with the most agile players. For example if I hit spin then spin already! Snap and get your head around what’s with the slow spin moves? These are supposed to be elite athletes in their 20s not a drunk out of shape 40 year old.

I can tell their aim was to make it harder. To make momentum a factor, to push the human players with the AI. That’s all well in good, but even on Heisman there should be a major noticeable gap when OSU plays Akron. There’s not though.

Even at home vs Akron I have maybe 1.5 seconds to get rid of the ball? I’m not slowing down the run game with anything less than 7 in the box and when I do that they just run out routes or jet sweeps to the outside.

I know it’s early and I have nearly no experience playing but I was in a dog fight with Akron this morning doing cardio lol… that should never be the case and never has been the case in previous games.

Jonah Booker said it best on X. See below for a good lol.
