I might do that, but it will be much closer to the release date. That way I have a better idea how many people are interested, and how many people can actually join an OD. I currently have 11 in the B10P10 and have two more definite maybe's to join next year. Not everyone in the B10P10 has said they're in for 2010, but I'm hoping that they are. I'm really hoping that the game will allow more than 12 in, and that they'll either allow a Big East basketball type of super conference, or at least allow me to make/modify multiple conferences.

If there's room, I'd be down for both leagues again.... and I'll take 2002 Ohio State for the dynasty, I just searched through the rules and it didn't say anything about not allowing past teams to be imported into the dynasty, and I flipped through the last couple pages and no one called them yet, so ya I'll be the '02 Bucks.

Too bad you just outed your grand plan, and now someone higher in the draft will pick the '02 Ohio State team.

Also, I'll have to go back to an old copy of NCAA 2003 to get all of their attributes. Remember that they weren't ranked or rated very high at the beginning of that season, and the game had Lydell starting over Clarret. Gamble was still wearing #82 and couldn't play DB worth a shit. But at least you'll still have McNutt on the team. :)

Hey no no no I was afriad somebodied say that, but I'll take '02 OSU as in for of 2010, which means historibcal team only... so I get clarett at his gprime, krenzel dank as fuck, jenkins and gamble a samazing receivers, and then a badass mothierfuckin defense

You take the 2002 team. I'll take the 2003 team. That's the team EA made ungodly. Gamble was a 99, Clarett was a 95, Jenkins was in the 90s. Hell, D'Andrea was in the high 80s IIRC.

- All current NCAA FBS teams are available, except for Ohio State. I'm going to be Ohio State, regardless of overall team rating (Call it a perk for being the commish...call it bulshit...I'm ok with either one). Limiting availability for teams in a league that plays mostly human games was done to create an initial balance to the league. Balance can be forced in a super conference, so there's no need to limit anything.

With the announcement of create-a-school and recent conversations of which classic Ohio State team everyone would be, I thought that I should add this to the team selection portion of the first post.

I might be talked into allowing created schools, but it would be like Piney's idea of making every team have the same players with the same attributes. Everyone could even be scarlet and gray, and play home games in The 'Shoe, and that wouldn't matter. The only change, if we decided to go the created school route, would be the University name. Instead of everyone being named tOSU, you'd make up your own name. e.g. BN27 would be Provolone State...


I'm pretty hesitant to go the created school route, because of all the roster glitch issues that happened with this year's version. I can't imagine how glitchy a near infinite number of customization options will make this game.

As long as we don't start on release date, the CAS dynasty can wait a week to see if glitches are reported.

One thing we could do, create 12 versions of Ohio State's roster using the same ratings so everyone is even. Of course so we can keep the names straight we could use historical names. Like one team could be led by Troy Smith, the other Rex Kern, heck, even Herbie.

The fun part... everyone is based in Columbus so we all have the same recruiting territory :biggrin:

And no... I haven't been thinking about this all day since I posted that article earlier this morning :wink2:

Am I the only one who isn't into this idea? Having a 12-man Ohio State Conference seems kind of, well, boring. I like different teams. I was going to create FKU (Fuck Kentucky University...Iron knows why) and go from there. Maybe I could bribe JWins into creating a logo that shows Adolf Rupp in a less than enduring position.

That's why we need five people to run dynasties next year. I'll run the super conference, with all current teams. Piney will do his thing, and three others can do their things. You could even run an all-FKU dynasty. :wink:

What are you going to do when I'm Navy next season? I'll still have a higher rated team than you, and you'll have to play and recruit against me. :evil:

The Ohio State squads was a fun idea... but might not be as good long term. I think I'd rather have them spread out a little bit as well.

I can definitely host a dynasty though.
