NCAA Football 2010 PS3 Super Conference

Am I the only one who isn't into this idea? Having a 12-man Ohio State Conference seems kind of, well, boring. I like different teams. I was going to create FKU (Fuck Kentucky University...Iron knows why) and go from there. Maybe I could bribe JWins into creating a logo that shows Adolf Rupp in a less than enduring position.

Not saying I would prefer that. But it does settle the "I want Ohio State" problems

IronBuckI;1455841; said:
That's why we need five people to run dynasties next year. I'll run the super conference, with all current teams. Piney will do his thing, and three others can do their things. You could even run an all-FKU dynasty.

In the end this is what we need. Different style dynasties for the different options out there. We have some guys that would play in all of the dynasties, some that might play in 1, and a couple guys that will play in 2-3. While every dynasty might not have 12 guys in it, we should be able to have at least 6-8 in each different type, with 1 or 2 having 12 guys in it.

Cuz we have 12 strong guys this year, we are bound to get more next year. And if they don't up the limit, we will need multiple dynasties so no one is excluded.

What are you going to do when I'm Navy next season? I'll still have a higher rated team than you, and you'll have to play and recruit against me.
I'm gonna whup that ass...that's what I'm gonna do! Navy's alternate uniforms are also in the game, and they look sweet.

So these are the dynasties I'm looking at:

  • Iron's (Whatever kick ass school is available by the time I pick)
  • Piney's (Army again. I just have to. Those ACU uniforms are too cool.)
  • Ohio State in another dynasty (probably not with this board)
  • A created team
  • ?

Iron came up with such a sick idea in a PM he sent me. I'll let him post it so I can rep him for it.
I actually just ripped off a wish in one of WOOD's posts.

I would really like to continue this dynasty. I wish EA would make it so that you could just import the online dynasty into the new game.

Since you can't actually import the whole dynasty, I asked Piney if he had considered having everyone re-create their current Piney Dynasty teams, and uploading them to the new game. Shelton and Jordan will be long gone by then, but the teams that we've worked to build all year would still be intact, with the same recruiting advantages and disadvantages, and same prestige...same everything.

It would be alot of work for Piney to make sure that no one went extra creative when re-creating their old team, but I think that we could all help police that sort of thing.

That would be awesome. I'd love to have Jordan back as a 8th year SR. If Piney doesnt do this I would be willing

I've been thinking about running a fast moving dynasty as well.

Actually no policing would be necessary. Since one person can create up to 12 teams, I can recreate everyone's team. Not like we would have to design new logos, I would just have to create the players and carry the recruiting attributes over. Then once we get in, a second person (since Iron said he would help) would just have to make sure I didn't fudge any of my numbers.

Then again, would everyone want to do this? While it is a sick and crazy idea that I absolutely love, a part of me wants a new team. Not sure what I would prefer. Cuz I know if I knew we were going to go for a few years of real time with the same teams, I might have picked a different team. But this is just me thinking outloud as I do really love this idea.

EDIT - Smooth's post solved my one issue, for example I could import Iron's kentucky players to navy. So Iron has the same team (ie players) but just a different name, stadium, conferenc, etc...

That would be AWESOME! Iron, would you switch from Kentucky to Navy, though? I'm not going to be Army in two dynasties.
Don't know...didn't consider that, when I brought up the idea.

If I did switch, then I would do it after this season, and try to get a head start with Navy...I'll have to think about it. In the mean time, I'd better get my ass back on the recruiting path with UK...just in case. :tongue2:

I was thinking about taking TAMU again anyway. This works perfectly for me even though I am not recruiting towards it right now. Why not let people choose if they want the same team?

my team sucks so I would probably want a new team

I guess as long as we keep current recruiting attributes I could live with it though

That sounds like a lot of work but if you're up for it...

One person can create up to 12 teams. That sounds like 12 players is still the max for an OD.

Or you could just keep SMU and move them to a stronger conference. Either way works.

As for moving my UK players to Navy. I don't know what Olaf's team rating looks like, but that might not be much of a Rivalry if I come in in the low 90's and he's still stuck in the 70's...I'll take a look at what UK has coming back, and what Navy looks like. I may still just switch to Navy after this season, and take my lumps.

Could you guarantee that you would keep the Army-Navy game intact? Even with Army in the Big Ten?

I would actually move my guys to Athens now that they finally got the beautiful Peden Stadium in the game. Gotta love trying to kick extra points into the river! I feel so horrible that I wasn't my alma mater in this dynasty.

Was just thinking outloud regarding moving your players to a different team. Just a whole lot to digest. Cuz moving Kentucky players to Navy would be unfair to smooth's Army. But then again you moving to a default Navy would put you at a disadvantage to Army. And then do we keep Army in the Big 10? Cuz really me moving my SMU team to Athens does nothing. But let's say for an example Basebuck wants to move his Texas A&M guys to Kent St... I would then be kinda screwed.

So just a ton of mixing and matching. Or we can just start fresh but start our 2010 dynasty knowing that as long as 2011 has the same CAS feature, we will continue our 2010 dynasty to 2011.

Building up a team like Army is a lot of fun. The drawback is that since a season in an online dynasty takes two months, there isn't a whole lot of time. This is why I'd love to convert this year's Army team to next year's game. However, if we're starting from scratch, I'm not taking Army again. Well, unless we all started with teams rated 70 and below instead of 80 and below.

I just took a look at the Navy roster, and they are truly awful. So, if we decide to re-create our teams, I would definitely want to leave Kentucky and get started on rebuilding Navy at the end of this season. I think that trying to build a 1* D+ team would be pretty fun. I've done it before on my own, but obviously not under circumstances where at least 3-4 losses is pretty much guaranteed.

If we're starting from scratch. I think that I'm with Olaf on this one. I'd want to go with a better team than Navy, or have everyone start as sub-70, and I really don't think that would be a particularly popular idea.
