NCAA Football 2010 PS3 Super Conference

I'm going to go ahead and try to get a draft order put in place. Using the following list, we have 11 players that are going to join the BP Super Conference. Leaving one position open if buchtel ever gets another PS3, or if someone else wants to join.

This is not the draft order, it's just the list of players interested in this league that I swiped from the sign-up thread.

Piney - (PSN: Piney)
BuckeyeNation27 (PSN: JCarver27)
BoxCar_Willie (PSN: yourname2518)
Whobebubba3 (PSN: Whobebubba)
fanaticbuckeye (PSN: fanaticbuckeye)
Smooth Olaf (PSN: Taylor Buck)
Basebuck (PSN: kcwilli)
THEWOOD (PSN: thewood279)
buckeyemania11 (PSN: imhungry1989)
msj2487 (PSN: OSUkickass47)
IronBuckI (PSN: IronBuckI)

Keep in mind, with 11 players, this league will be playing 7 or 8 human games every single season. It will not be a fast moving league due to different people having different schedules. It will also be a wide open league, meaning that any in-game formational sub, motion, deep lobs, grinding out the clock, or anything else that the game allows will be allowed. That means that I won't be fielding a bunch of "hurry up and advance" or "this guy is cheesing" complaints.

This leagues purpose will be to find out who is the best at playing this game. That's it.

If you suck bad enough that you can only run one formation because it will let you put your fastest guy in at QB, then you're definitely not good enough to win the league, but I'm not going to disallow that sub if the playbook you're using has it in there, and you want to throw in the occasional wrinkle.

I am also going to throw in what I'll call the Jonathan Dwyer rule. If you have a player that weighs more than 225 lbs AND they have STR of 75+, they will be allowed to play FB, regardless of how fast they are. If you have a player that is 6'4" AND weighs more than 225 lbs AND has STR of 75+, they will be allowed to play TE, regardless of speed. I may grant a position or depth chart change to those positions if the guy has 74 STR and 92 speed, if their is some other attribute that makes them a reasonable candidate for that position, but the height, weight and strength requirements are a good guide to go by, IMO.

Now, having said all of that, I want to know who is still willing join, and whether Piney, Olaf, and Whobe still want to be entered into the draft, or whether they just want to take Oregon, UCLA, and Illinois.

Just out of curiosity, who is Jonathan Dwyer? Was he a character in our other league?

The fullback for Georgia Tech. 228 lbs, 81 strength, 93 speed...stud. If you can recruit a guy that is that big and strong, and fast, then you can put him where you please...I just don't want a bunch of fast midgets playing FB and TE.

I'm in.

Is there anywhere to look to see the new depth charts?
I used the teambuilder templates. I think that most of the top teams have complete rosters. Even if EA does fix their current roster problems. most of the problems appear to be on the Purdues of the world, and not the USCs and Floridas

USC's is a bit messed up. The have HBs listed as FBs and vice versa. Anyway, I'm leaning toward bringing in my Ucla team. I'm falling in love with Turner, and so is the game. He's the fisrt true freshman I've ever had to be awarded Impact Player status. I haven't decided for sure if I'll use Ucla, but I'll let you know.

I have to keep Illinois......A QB with 93 speed, and only a soph, I can't turn that down. Not to mention I have speed everywhere on this team.

edit - Iron, am I suppose to be building Illinois, or is this something you are doing?

I have the team minus the roster setup. Bly is the only player that I've created. I can finish it in the next month no problem. I'll just use Olafs UCLA since he already went through the trouble, and if Piney wants Oregon, we'll decide if he or I want to re-create them too.

Iron, I will try to mess with Team Builder this weekend to see how my Oregon team turns out.

Plus I want to see what happens in the Oregon v UCLA game tonight and see how Oregon matches up with UCLA. I can't wait to hear the details of that game.

Have you seen the freshman speed that Smooth has brought in?
