that is what they are doing with this.

The ncaa was allowed to use their trademarks. Without the ncaa, ea will have to cough up the rights to use each brand.

The ncaa is on its last legs.

Found a pretty solid roster share via Operation Sports. I guess because the official website lists Vonn Bell's wrong this roster has Bell as #6. There is no way that I can tell to change it to #7 directly in the game since it's already taken by Jordan Hall.

Fixed an issue where some teams had a grey facemask in-game regardless of user modifications on the PlayStation 3

Just like when they released the NCAA Ultimate Team Heisman Hopeful cards (which can be upgraded into Heisman Finalists with a mascot collectible). Well, there wasn't a USC Trojan card, but there was a Troy Trojan card. :lol:

I'd love to see the hiring process of some of these developers...

So I'm done with NCAA '13. I kept having my dynastys freeze when I try to load them and I figured the files were just corrupting and perhaps my hard drive was bad. I tried a new hard drive and it is still doing it...pissing me off after all the hard work I put into my dynastys. Not sure if this happened to anyone in last years game? Frankly, I really liked '13 overall but it is useless to me without offline dynasty mode (I have no monies for Live).

So my questions for everyone on '14:

1) How is recruiting? I liked the sway pitch function and the ability to eventually interest about any prospect on '13. Hated how so many players were ATH's and it was difficult to project their positions. Also, what are the higher rankings for incoming freshmen? In years past, many players could get into the mid-80s, yet '13 it seemed that 80/81 was about as high as it got for anyone but a punter or kicker.

2) How are the zone read/option plays? I really liked running the no-huddle offense with alot of zone read mixed in on '13.

3) MOST importantly, is there a lot of freezing? Most importantly, issues with freezing when the files are being loaded?

4) Any way to get another cover or make one for a used copy? I didn't want to get '14 out of principle because of the God-awful cover.

5) How is offline dynasty mode in general? Features I enjoyed for '13 were the recruiting, coaches contract, and offseason features.

recruiting in general seems pretty simplified to me. This is the first installment I have bought in quite awhile, and I was surprised with how easy it. But not easy in the way you get every 5 star you go after, you just don't have to spend a ton of time doing it.


I have lost maybe two games to freezing during my offline dynasty, and I'm in year 3 of that.


the zone read and options are pretty good. sometimes they are blown up, but other times you can get good chunks of yards if you make the correct read.


You are on your own about the cover though :)

No freezing issues for me, knock on wood. Playing B1G CC tonight, award finalist in damn near everything.. stadium sounds work well, too. (read soemthing about freezing issues)

I do like the coaching tree upgrades, Fickell Herman & Urban have all upgraded this season.

I found an issue with the coaching tree, but it's a first-world type of problem.

Luke Fickell left Ohio State after my first year, and TCU's Gary Patterson became my new DC. This happened withouth any input from me. Anyways, Patterson came in maxed out as a DC at Level 30. Hermann is still my OC, but he's not maxed out. The OC and DC advance together, but since Patterson can't advance, neither can Hermann. It's a pain, but damn, my defense rocks.

That is awful. I have just started a dynasty and did not realize that.

Yes, it still sucks. The CPU runs the screen better but your D will get slants and corners all day in man. Switch to zone and say TD. I had to switch Roby to my CB3 in order to cover the TE or slot that ate me alive. Cal went 71% passing and threw for 400 yards on me.
