Sounds like you probably used up all your turbo to early. Do you hit and hold turbo as soon as you catch the ball? I don't hit turbo until I make my first juke on the first wave of tacklers. You get past them, then hit turbo. I've returned a couple for a TD with average speed guys.

So I rented it for a week and didn't quite get through a dynasty, so let me ask this:
1) With the coaching upgrades with recruiting, is there any way to get better? Maybe I am doing something wrong but I simply cannot hardly win any recruit so far, even if I go all out on them and they are interested. I want to wait to hold off on later visits since those are supposedly more helpful, but all the better players were mostly committed by Game 9. Maybe I got an odd cycle but can someone who is a couple years into a dynasty let me know if it gets easier? Also, can you get a player who has you in the lead to commit on the spot with an offer like you could in past years? I saw a coaches skill for this but didn't know if you could before that.
2) Pass defense is pretty bad and they overcompensated on the INTs. Where I used to get way too many, I think I might have had 3 going into Game 9 and the secondary is really good obviously for OSU.
3) This is a minor issue but if you wear the standard home jersey, every single OSU player has the black half sleeves on...only does this for red teams it appears and you cannot change it in the Edit Roster options that I can tell?
4) Love the enhanced power run game and zone read. Much more realistic crashes/stays from the DEs and takes some skill to get down. The turbo neutralizes absurd speed advantages but it is a tad overkill I think...it adds an interesting dynamic but there are some times where I feel like Dontre Wilson maybe should not have been caught by a defensive end. I also really like the passing options where you can lead receivers, loft it, throw it low, etc...puts a lot more of your offensive potential in your hands rather than whatever rating your team is.
- Overall, not sure I am going to buy this. Plenty to like but unless the recruiting improves drastically as your coaching levels improve, not sure I want to deal with it. I am pretty big into offline dynasty recruiting and building my own teams, so that is kind of a deal breaker.

So I'm reconsidering buying this since '13 won't work for me...does the offline dynasty recruiting get easier as your coaching skills improve?

Yes. The best way to counter this effect is to set coach skill advancement (or whatever it is called) to super slow. This will take you longer to get to the Urban Meyer level.

I actually want it to be easier, I literally can't land anyone with the skill setting I had haha. I guess I need to find that and make it quicker.

HAHAHA! You can do that too. I got bored and started an Idaho OC dynasty and I am just letting the CPU recruit for me. Holy crap are the Vandals bad!

And here is the bitch... I held out getting the game... just tired of all the BS. But now... I feel like I need to go and buy the game... hoping it is the last. Cuz if you have a core group... you can have an epic online dynasty league.
