NC LB Lewis Neal (LSU signee)

Ubet can correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm sure he will), but I believe this goes along with how Urban handled recruits in Gainesville as well. If you're committed, you don't take any other visits....otherwise he'll recruit others to take your spot.

Kind of like, he's committed to the recruit as long as the recruit is committed to him.

Lewis wanted to visit LSU, so coach told him he was no longer committed imo.

FIFY..well made it a little more current anyway.

I don't think you have to go back to Gainesville to figure out where Coach stands. And if you look at just about any of our recruits they all say basically the same thing..."Something Amazing is going to happen in Columbus...And I want to be part of it". Good luck to the kid..but I have to feel it is his loss.

I don't think it's his loss. He has plenty of good choices and he'll attempt to make the one that is best for him.

I really didn't mean that in any negative way towards the kid...I just think that something special will be going on at tOSU over the next 4 -500 years. I mean anytime a kid can get a full ride to any school he wants because he plays a sport well is a winner in my book. And as I said I wish him luck.

On the other hand there are alot of good decisions out there..but only a handful of great ones. I mean in 86 you could have bought stock in THE GAP and made money..or you could have purchased Microsoft for just about the same price if I recall..around 20-21 bucks. I just think as things play out over the next 4 years tOSU will end up being the better deal is all.

I'd bet this is pretty close to true... I'd go a step further and we can likely take off the "verbal offer" ... just a guess, though

What will be interesting to see is if OSU continues to recruit him the way they did prior to his commitment.

As for the rest, jclvd hit the nail on the head.

Everyone can speculate all they want to. I'd tend to think that the story was as easy as a few here of commented on. What did Urban tell Dunn after his visit to his parents? You can make your story from that IMO as well. It's too bad because I really thought Neal was a lot like Jamal Marcus from last years class. But that's kind of the point Marcus, Perkins and Williams (and possibly others in 2013) will be pretty darn good themselves. Not to mention the D linemen (WOW!). It's not a biggie really...wish him the best of luck at LSU:biggrin:

Finish runs. Never run out of bounds.

Compete. Always.

That is Meyer.

Not all recruits are ready for his philosophy. If you do not play early for Meyer, you need to roll on. If you are not willing to take that opportunity, you need to roll on.

If you look at a depth chart and question it, you need to roll on.

This thread is moved to the '13 forum.
