marriage and pregnancy don't kill a series, when writers have to write in pregnancy and marriage into the script the series is already dead and they are just holding on for dear life

That is generally true--hopefully the writers devise a way to worm their way out of a pregnancy storyline, which was obviously more implied than stated outright, and play on our "misreading" of this season's finale.

Jim/Pam with some news,

Perhaps I am reading too much into the dialog. However, with "Pam" and "Jim's" burgeoning movie careers could Jim's final line "bring in the subs" (a line they took great effort to set up) have more than surface meaning?

I like how you are thinking differently about this, but I really do not see it happening. In my opinion, if Jim left the show, it would be even more dull than it is now. No one to prank Dwight, or be a sarcastic ass to Andy, that could really hurt the show imo.

Doubt it. Neither of them have booming movie careers...

I don't really follow the show, but the new character is a classmate of mine, and a very funny/cool girl. Also a very sweet person: Ellie Kemper - Entertainment News, 10 Comics to Watch, Media - Variety
