NBA To Ban Its Players From Certain Night Spots?

This past week, the NBA ordered its security forces in all 29 cities to come up with a list of clubs and other night spots that should be made off-limits to players.

The shooting death of Darrent Williams is a motivating factor in the directive.

Once the clubs are identified, with the help of local law enforcement, the league will send a directive to teams mandating that players avoid those spots or be subject to a substantial fine.

I would hope local law enforcement has better things to do than worry where rich spoiled brats spend their free time.

I'll bet that if these clubs are dangerous enough to be made off-limits to NBAers, local law enforcement is hanging around anyway.

I for one don't mind the ban. No doubt players will complain about their civil liberties. Kwame Brown's right to throw cakes at people will be severely infringed.

Honestly, I don't know why we dabble in such intricacies of the NBA's players. Seriously, does this affect us in any way, however distantly?

Is the NFL going to do the same thing?

No way, way too many white glamour boys in the NFL to do something like this. We all know that the NBA is dominated by black players who by nature are thugs and troublemakers. This is simply a case of "Big Brother" looking out for "Young Brothers" who are too stupid to do it for themselves. :shake: :shake:

Next on David Sterns "Draconian Top 10"

Choosing each player's toothpaste.
Limiting the number of times you can put air in your tires (or have one of your henchmen... I mean posse.. do it)
No more ordering pizza after 9:30
10:00, lights out.
All players must sport "high and tight" wig-doos
Out with Rap, in with Easy Listening.
Players no longer allowed to have unauthorized friends - authorization will be sought thru Stern and only Stern
Must now apply for a "Stern pass" which allows you to take family and friends out to dinner.
Anyone caught drinking a beverage that isn't water, milk or gatorade will be severely fined
Any player with more than 2 kids will be expelled from the league.
