Roberto Alomar spit in an umps face...It happens in all sports, that is the point we have been trying to get you to understand, is it a problem yes, we have all said that, but to just label it a problem in the NBA is being naive, probably due in part to fact that you actually like to watch the NFL, MLB and don't watch NBA...

You really can't compare spitting on a little girl with spitting on a umpire. Although spitting on anyone period is grounds for getting your ass whipped.

Its truly sad that you are missing the big picture here...how can you not see the broad stereotyping?

You are about to go through many years of senseless stereotyping garbage. I truly expected you to have a wider vision than you have displayed in this thread.

Stereotyping happens with race, religion, and disabilities...I hope you don't learn that lesson firsthand.

like i said, racisim/stereotyping happens with EVERYONE. No one can truely say that they have never stereotyped someone (being racially insensitive). It has happened in everyones life and it will always happen.

Why would you say anything? Maybe they didnt have any carrry on's and how would you know they didnt have any luggage?

Maybe they are nervous about flying so they are praying.

I don't think you can honestly say that if you were on that plane with your family you would be thinking that. You are kidding yourself.

we have all said its in all sports, papa too, but you hear about it more in the NBA - just a fact of life.

What if your daughter had to wear hearing aids when she entered school and was labeled by kids at school as "retarded" b/c she maybe had to go to a special room for hearing classes.

Would that be fair?

No.

That's kind of what's happening here.

Really? How many NBA teams does it take to equal the misbehavior by one NFL team from Cincinnati?

Why doesn't their unending troublemaking get applied to the NFL image?

I think the average sports fan loves the NFL far more than the NBA (many can't stand it), and their judgments get passed through that prejudice.

That doesn't excuse it.

seriously man, if you wouldnt say anything, then im sorry you would deserve what was coming to you. I could see you not saying anything prior to 9/11 but since then, you would just be stupid not to say anthing.

For what it's worth Tyrus Thomas was already fined $10,000 and may be revoked from the contest.

He apologized for his comments, but I see this topic doesn't have anything to do with this story anymore.

Unfortunately not. Someone had to drop the race card and things digressed from there.

Spitting is spitting...Both wrong

This is like telling me it is nto as bad to shoot someone as long as you hit the person you are intended to hit.

...when it happens, it should be addressed. That is how it ends. Sweeping it under the rug or rolling with the herd doesn't fix anything.
