we've been down this road, you can't say thug without being labeled a racist.
Can one guy be a thug, yes, does it matter if he is red, white, black, green...No
racism/prejudice is when you are labeling or discrimenating against a group of people due to blanket statements about the whole NBA...
I will say right now that I think a guy like Ron Artest is a thug due to his antics on and off the court, he has a record to back it up and he also had the brawl at the palace...
But just becasue someone wears the big baggy clothes, talks the slang and hangs out with hip hop stars in hip hop clubs doesnt make them a thug.
It is just a part of our culture where inner city kids with the traits mentioned above have become to be labeled as thugs, which is so far from the truth that it is giving the NBA a bad rap, not to call Big Papa and IAB out b/c there are many of them, but it has become the perception of the league. How some one can love to watch their every move in college and love what they bring, but the second they slip off to the NBA they become a thug. So when Greg Oden goes pro is he going to be a thug, what about Conley, what about guys from other schools like Morrison, Brandon Roy, etc...
