They're getting what they're worth which is what people wanted all along. Who's to say Harrison doesn't have a Lamborghini deal in the works? Also don't feel too bad for him he'll be signing a multimillion dollar nfl contract in a year.

It's been around for 5 minutes. Let's wait a little while before that's viewed as a problem.

On the other hand, if this was around in HS, Zach Harrison might not have spent a year running absurd track times in sneakers. Nike would have run to sponsor that.

I am sure the Coaches are talking about it among themselves..I see the problems jealousies inequities that could arise from this .

Because Sawyer is in Columbus for 3 more years and Zach could be gone in a few months. So ROI is probably better with Sawyer.

Hmmmmm. You can hire their parents or their HS coach - some school up north seems to like that approach. LeBron raised eyebrows with some of the "gifts" he received while playing in High School. Of course some of that was because he was going straight to the pros, but still.

I know North Carolina is one where HS kids can get NIL money.

It depends. There is no law prohibiting it, but most leagues in NC aren't going to allow it. The only player I know of currently pursuing it is Williams who is playing for Vertical Academy. They are a newly formed basketball factory which is supposedly being sponsored by a major shoe company. They will not play in a North Carolina HS league but will play a national schedule.

The only state that currently has a law legalizing HS NIL is California. There are states that have no laws, which allows leagues and HS commissions to set their own regulations.
