In recent years the NIT had grown to 32 teams. I think it's better as a 16 team event.

I'd old school it going forward. Make it a 16 team tourney, all in Madison Square Garden where it all began.

Pretty brutal indeed. I was really hoping CSU played Dayton (it also would been a home game for CSU with Dayton hosting the first 4)
