His attmept at trying to stay diplomatic about criticizing his brethren in the college sports website niche biz falls woefully short.

Pathetic attmept of disguising his attack. He could have posted the Q&A on Bucknuts Premium message board or answered those questions individually and privately if wanted to be diplomatic.

Pot-stirrer, attention-whore, ridicules board members reglarly, kisses up to scout staffers and bashes them back on the other site... oh and going on a half-dozen broken vows to never return.

Too bad, really, he can be pretty witty & funny at times, but that is lost amidst the constant board dumping.

Good post and good points. I think alot of the "cuss'in" goes too far in instances, but never has been something that jumps out as "abusive," and thats due to the great work of the MODS and ADMS. I can say "cool fucking post OH10" and that's gonna be accepted much moreso than posting that "you're a fucking idiot OH10." See the difference? So do the folks running the site. Keep it "real" NOT personal.

Your point about prospective recruits will get you greenies from me tonite, and should get them from many others, also. What you're saying here is exactly what separates BP from the rest.

Our "Who's online" is set to refresh every 60 seconds, and has been that way since we launched the site. There are circumstances in which a person could be listed longer than they're actually around, like if they close the browser instead of actually loading up another site. In that case, they're listed on there for up to a maxium of 900 seconds (15 minutes) as that's our timeout setting.

So if you load a page and sit there for 15:01 minutes, the site doesn't know you're here anymore. But if you're here and you go somewhere else, it only takes a minute. So the answer to your question is generally somewhere in between.

Mr. Bucknuts is simply the hype man at Bucknuts, not unlike Flava Flav. He helps sell subscriptions, thus why his column is free to the public. Notice how the first third of his monthly column is about how much BN is better than everyone else. (Insert joke about comparing Mr. Bucknuts to Flava Flav).

Not too long after Bucknuts split from Scout, Mr. Bucknuts had his next column basicly pointing out the differences between his site and each of his competitors, and went on belittlling them in his own little way that only he can do. He summarized BuckeyePlanet by pretty much calling it a blog, which is awfully close to what his own site has become, if it's not there already. Unlike Bucknuts though, our mods do a superb job keeping everything and everyone in order on here and BP is the scourge of the OSU message boards. Why else would BN rip off BP's forum when they split from Scout?

When he takes swipes at other sites (particularly BP), don't take it personal. Just don't subscribe to his egomanical junk.
