But I agree, I don't think they would necessarily need 3 promotions and 3 relegated teams like the Barclays, Liga BBVA, Serie A, and Bundesliga does. One or two would be pretty ideal. At least to start with.

I think two would be ideal if you had a 16 team top league land like a 12-16 team second league (add Rochester, etc. to the other MLS clubs that start down). You could have the team that wins the lower division as one prootion, and then have the winner of the US Open Cup if a relegated team...or the second team (or a playoff between the second and third team) of the lower division if an MLS team wins the Cup. It would certainly add some value to the tournament-style play in the US. This is all dreaming though.

Any transfer window junkies among us? What are the chances that Sporting retains Erik Palmer-Brown? I get that Juventus would be a higher quality club..but for selfish reasons I'd like to see him stay in the MLS..and specifically at SKC.

I just don't see why Palmer-Brown would go. It would be like Brek Shea at Stoke, only worse. I think you'll probably start seeing some more teams making bids for him, and he may end up going to a higher profile team, where he will actually play.

I'm hoping he stays in KC..I get over for a couple of matches each season and I'd like to get a good look at him. SKC already lost Kamara to England, would suck to lose another (potentially) great player.

I was sad to see Kamara go, too. I know he's played for Columbus in the past, but I would have loved to see him in black and gold. One of the most physical forward/wingers the MLS will probably ever see. Dude was a tank.

Seattle hosting Toronto right now on NBC Sports Network. Jermaine Defoe, Michael Bradley, and Julio Cesar's debut for Toronto, and they've looked impressive.

Defoe netted two in the first half, one on an absolutely horrid back pass from Clint Dempsey.

Xolos Tijuana hosting LA Galaxy in the CONCACAF Champions League. Tijuana scored in the first minute, and LA's back line already looks lost.

Aggregate 1-1 (each with home goals)

This game should be interesting.
