An only-in-baseball type of story. Drew Maggi was originally drafted in 2010. After bouncing around the minors for 13 years he finally got the call on Sunday. Tonight he made his first appearance in MLB, pinch hitting late in a rout. He'll be 34 next month. He struck out, but who cares?

Fuck it. I'm gonna put him on my fantasy team.

Another blowout so he got a chance to hit again. He's being sent down after the game. It's possible this is his last ML AB. He made it count.

Welp, the A's are headed to Vegas by about 2027. The news report of this is why the Oakland Coliseum is nearly empty this weekend for their series versus the Reds. I feel bad for their fans. Imagine losing your baseball team.

Actually, I think eliminating all of MLB would be an interesting societal reboot. Same for NFL, NHL, NBA, XFL, USFL. All for it. But to continue with MLB without the Reds would suck for a while.
