The Pirates have had 12 straight quality starts. They are 9-3 in those games. It seems starting pitching matters.

Whether they can keep that up remains to be seen.

An only-in-baseball type of story. Drew Maggi was originally drafted in 2010. After bouncing around the minors for 13 years he finally got the call on Sunday. Tonight he made his first appearance in MLB, pinch hitting late in a rout. He'll be 34 next month. He struck out, but who cares?
