Maybe I'm wrong but I dont think starBUCKS ever claimed that Kimbo was the greatest. What he says is that he has a lot of potential (which he does), and that he's getting better (which may be true). I also know that star knows him personally, and could be rooting for his "friend". I couldnt see the fight because the tivo ran out, but i know Kimbo is "older", and he is in the infancy of his career. Maybe he does not warrant the attention he gets, but he's taking advantage of it! Wouldnt you??

Thanks for the lists, ballin'. Exactly what I was lookin' for.

I thought the Feber/Pulver fight was great. Faber is just fast as hell, smart, and relentless. I was impressed with his boxing skills in addition to his deserved ground reputation. He's incredibly strong and well-conditioned too.

Pulver was impressive as well. If nothing else, the guy can take a mean hit. I thought he was going down early in the second, but he got up and probably got his best combo of the bout immediately.

The undercard fights were a little lackluster, in my opinion.

No offense, but Robbie Lawler is nowhere close to top 5. And the fact they said he was top three last night was hilarious.

According the announcers last night Lawler > Anderson Silva, and personally, I find it disrespectful that you would even hint that he isn't, you should be ashamed to call yourself a MMA fan, do yourself a favor, never watch MMA sports again, as it's obvious you are a jaded person who fails to realize how powerful Elite XC really is!

Mauro's commentating has really gone down since his PRIDE days. And Frank Shamrock was awful. I'm sure they will have Goldie back for their next fixed event.

I expected the Mccullough fight to have a little more action. The last couple times I've seen him fight he's been rather underwhelming. He actually won this time, I guess. I remember seeing him quite some time ago and I really enjoyed watching him. I've been disappointed lately.

The Pulver/Faber fight made up for it. I haven't seen too many fights this year, but it's the best I've seen so far.

In the post fight press conference, Brett Rogers, the fat ass who won the first fight and who had also whooped James Thompson's ass in his last fight, called out Kimbo and said he looked like garbage, and said he tapped.

Gee I wonder who will be tapped as Kimbo's next opponent*.

Hmm...

:sneaky:

The whole damn thing was a farce.

*Unless they can get Scott Ferrazzo.

Surprised starBucks isn't on here claiming Kimbo is the best fighter in the last 50 years.

My thoughts... I won't defend Kimbo and say he's at the top of MMA. Thompson crowded Kimbo right from the get go and used his 30 lbs advantage to basically just sit on Kimbo and tired him. Kimbo obviously lost stamina. In round 2, he had his head pinned into the cage. With that all being said... I was even talking shit yesterday by text to the Reality Kings guys. Kimbo, knows what happened... and it's a wake up call. But, just like the 2002 National Championship, a wins a win.... no matter who wants to disect it. Sure it shouldn't have been called when it was, but, I don't think anyone here can argue that they don't think Kimbo would have kept unloading on Thompson's head for an eventual KO. It was smart of Thompsons camp to try and take it the ground from the start.... his jaw is made of glass. Back to work for Kimbo.

I was down in Cincy this weekend so I actually got to watch this show on Saturday. I would say overall good presentation from CBS and they seemed to try to go out of the way at the beginning with Shamrock to explain the main rules of MMA.

Tje fughts left me feeling ehhhhhh. The womens fight I think was the best, and if Gina would have had just a few more seconds, I think the other girl taps out. I was not impressed with Kimbo at all.
