That fight was an absolute banger. Respect to both fighters. Amazing performance by Khamzat if he was indeed fasting for Ramadan. Amazing performance by Burns going up against a naturally larger opponent with no known weaknesses. I really wish we could have seen Burns fight Usman after a longer recovery post-Covid infection. His endurance has been much better since that fight where he gassed so quickly. Khamzat took over a year off after his nasty bout with it.

I didn't get to watch the entire Shevchenko fight, but from what I saw, she lost the fight. She apparently did her work when I was away. But I wasn't away that long..

New LHW champ is Jiri Prochazka. Kind of strange division there.

Joanna retired. She got completely KO'd by Weili. It'll be sad not seeing Joanna. She's been a staple for a long time.

Big night last night. Luke Rockhold retired, Jose Aldo forgot that he had to use offense, and Usman got KO’d via shin to the face.

I thought Usman was dominating. Winning every round imo. Edwards looked like he was done. But nope!

I can’t think of another time when a fighter looked more like shit and ended up winning. I’m sure there are a couple, but I’m not sure the stakes were this high. This means Colby Covington will probably fight for the belt… and I think he’ll win.. god damnit

A lot of drama this week, which ultimately resulted in Chimaev fighting Kevin Holland...... I'm not sure I've ever seen a fight like that one. Chimaev redefined what a mauling is. He looks like a different level.

Pretty easy dude to root against though.

The first round of Chandler/Poirier was just as exciting as everyone hoped. Chandler beat the shit out of Poirier for the first half, Poirier beat the shit out of Chandler in the second half. Chandler was out on his feet. They were both close to being KO'd.

Pretty solid Fight Night card tonight. Headlined by Wonderboy and Kevin Holland. Some other decent names on the card too.

Lots of chatter in the MMA world that Pereira wants to move up to LHW. Holy fuck that division is going to be wild.

EDIT: Fight Night is tonight (Saturday), not yesterday
